"Yoongi, Jiminie, and I are going to talk to some of our teammates, okay?" A young man wrapped an arm around another person whose name is Jimin's shoulders and pointed at the group of men huddled around a corner. "We'll be back as soon as we can, so you just sit there and look pretty, yeah?"
The man named Yoongi, sitting in the bar area of the mansion where the party is held, looked up from his drink to his two best friends. His facial expression was expected from him when he heard that he was about to be abandoned by the same people who dragged him into the party in the first place. Yoongi's original plan was to sleep in peace in his room for the remainder of the night, but his two best friends were about to break his window from throwing rocks at it if he didn't come out.
Now, he's here at a party in a wealthy senior's mansion who he doesn't know in any way, shape, or form ⸺ he didn't even get invited by the man of the hour himself, and yet here he is, basking in the sea of human bodies, his anti-social self is drowning, but his two best friends still has the audacity to tell him that they're just going to leave him there alone. Even if it were only for a couple of minutes, for Yoongi, it would feel like a whole lifetime will pass.
"Really?" Yoongi raised his brow at the two young men, his tone clearly showing his annoyance. "You two dragged me out here in the middle of the night so that you could leave me and be with your soccer-geek friends?"
"Oh, come on, Hyung!" Jimin's whined, pouting at the oldest, who only rolled his eyes in response and took a sip of alcohol from his red plastic cup. "We're really sorry, but it would seem rude if we don't say anything to them when we're already here. We promise that it'll take just a moment, then we'll come running back to you as soon as we can."
Kihyun nodded eagerly in agreement to what Jimin had said, and knowing Yoongi, well, he can't just say no to his friends who seem to look for ways to get all three of them in trouble every single day. As the oldest, he knows that both young men are his responsibility even if Kihyun is only younger than him by a couple of months. Still, he couldn't help but feel wary for himself, knowing that his only way of shielding himself from any sort of human interaction would be leaving him.
"Fine," He tells them with a huff and looks away to avoid their gazes. "You two better sprint here as soon as you're done, or else I'll drag you two back here, or I'll go back home alone."
If there was one thing that Yoongi could say and use as blackmail to his two best friends, it is that they never want Yoongi to go home alone by himself when it gets dark. Instead, they would force him to stay at one of their places as a sleepover or walk him home by themselves. Yoongi never really understood why they were so protective over him even though he is the oldest out of three of them, which meant that he should be the one trying to take care of the two. Yoongi thinks that it is probably because both Kihyun and Jimin have a hero complex, and it is part of their instinct to protect someone smaller than them.
