After a couple of hours, Jimin and Yoongi finally arrived in the city of Gaepdong, not too far away from their previous location in Chunae but a lot nearer to home. If they only knew that the group that they are chasing after would be staying in Chunae that is only about a city over from their home compared to Gaepdong, which is about two cities over, they would have waited for the group in Chunae and cornered them so it would have been easier for them.

"We're here," Jimin announces as the vehicle stops and is parked in the parking lot of a motel right next to the beach. Chunae is famous because the city is right next to the ocean, so there are a lot of tourists. Jimin specifically picked this motel because right next to it is a brothel owned by a new client of the group that they are after. "I notified the others that we arrived. They said the group hasn't left Chunae yet, so we're right on time."

As Jimin listed the things Yoongi had missed while he went to sleep, the older began to prepare himself by hiding a couple of knives under his shirt and a small gun that Namjoon had given him just in case. He knows that there will be a high chance that he and Jimin will get caught in a fight, so it's better to be prepared and not always count on Jimin to do all the fighting himself, even if the younger prefers for Yoongi to not get into fights because he gets too worried with the older's safety.

"Yoongi, would it be better if you just stay back instead?" Jimin mumbled, making Yoongi stop for a moment, closing the car door and turning around to face Jimin, who was looking at him worriedly. "I don't want you to get hurt, and you'll be much safer in the motel."

The older released a sigh and cocked the gun in his hand before hiding it under his shirt between his pants, "I'm not made of glass, Jimin. I know that you're worried about me, and I appreciate it, but you need me in there with you. I may not be able to fight off a large group of people, but so do you. Wouldn't it be better if we fight them together than alone?"

He placed a hand on Jimin's shoulder, who stayed quiet and turned his gaze to the concrete floor underneath them. Yoongi gently squeezes the younger's shoulder, who slowly looks up, their eyes meeting, and Jimin almost fell to his knees at the sight of Yoongi's gentle eyes, a sight that he has not seen for a long time.

"Remember that promise you made me?" Yoongi asked him, not even waiting for Jimin to respond. "You said you'll protect me, right? So, what do I have to be scared of when you're going to be right beside me?"

This was the reassurance that Jimin never knew he needed. His heart began to beat faster, each thump resounding against his whole chest at the thought of the trust that Yoongi had put in him. Their relationship is still a bit blurry, even now. They may look like very good friends, but they both know that it would be better to cooperate with each other than to argue. Because even after all that happened, Yoongi and Jimin still had a past that was too painful for them to talk about and forget.

"I'm honored to know that you trust me this much," Jimin watched as Yoongi's hand retracted, his heart feeling disappointed at the wall that the older had built between them. "But, please, if a time comes that I tell you to run, I need you to run, okay? I am not telling you this because I don't believe in your ability to protect yourself but because I want at least one of us to survive and report back."
