"I love you."
The sentence itself may only be short and contains only three words but has a powerful impact and has both beautiful and bitter-sweet meanings depending on the situation or the context at hand.
When Jimin said those words, whispering them to Yoongi's ear, he meant it but had no courage to tell Yoongi that he wasn't lying. Of course, how could he tell his ex that after spending a long time apart and spending a few months together again under the same roof, rekindled the feelings that were once fading away? Who would believe him at this point? Most likely not the ex that he fought with the same night he broke up with.
Jimin wakes up on the cold empty bed alone with his naked body covered with the large and thick hotel blanket to keep him warm. He realizes that Yoongi was probably the one who tucked him in because he is a very active sleeper, so he moves a lot when he is asleep, and it is a rare sight to see that he still has the blanket on his body. He notices the cold and empty side of the bed again, and it dawns on him that Yoongi had left him before he could even wake up and without even saying goodbye.
It pains Jimin to find out that Yoongi just left him after every ungodly thing they did last night. His members probably heard the two of them going at it through the thin walls of the motel. He is too sad and heartbroken right now to even care about the teasing he will get from his younger members and the scolding he is getting from his older members once he walks out of the room and catches them by the lobby. The intimate moments they shared last night were probably just nothing to Yoongi as if they were just hookups.
To Jimin, what happened between them last night was not just a one-time thing, but who was he to complain? After all, Yoongi never said anything about them hooking up more than once, and the fact that they are exes still remains.
He finally finds the strength to get off the bed and get changed into some clothes before taking all of his things, walking around the room, and picking up his stuff, reminding all the memories of the intimate and ungodly things that he and Yoongi did last night. The scenes are engraved in his mind, and he is disappointed in himself for not even being sad that he can just close his eyes and remember those moments, wanting to relive them again.
"Glad you're still up and running," Taehyung greets him with a smirk as he gets off the elevator.
Jimin scowls in response, "Don't even think about saying another word about what you heard last night, or I swear I will strangle you to death."
"Come on, Jiminie, we both know you won't do that," Taehyung grins, placing an arm on his friend's shoulder. "I am your best friend, after all."
The two of them walk over to the large lobby of the motel, and it would be unfair to call this place a motel since it is a lot bigger than how most motels should be. They see their other members seated on the couch with their things, obviously waiting for Jimin to wake up. Jimin lets out an irritable sigh, thinking that his friends should have just knocked on the door or called him to wake him up and not wait for him. But as he counted all five people seated on the couch in the lobby, he noticed that one person was missing.
