Part 3

Henry's POV

We started the plan and headed to the counter area for Kelv's spare key.

"Excuse me?" I said tapping on the table.

"Darao yixia" Lucas said wondering if the landlady is chinese.

"Coming" an older looking woman appeared from the open space where the door is supposed to be.

"What can I do for you VERY FINE gentlemen this afternoon?" The lady said eyeing both of us.

Clearly Phase 2 worked like a charm.

"We were wondering if we could ask if we could borrow a spare key for Kelvin's room" we said very politely.

"Oh? Are you friends or classmates perhaps?" She raised a brow.
"And what are your interests why you want to enter Mr. Toh's room uninvited?" She said.

"Show her the case" I said looking at Lucas.

"We have a gift for him and also bearing snacks for when we have to practice for our music performance" Lucas said, quite the charmer.

"Please meide nuren" Lucas pleaded holding her hands.

She Was taken aback and blushed.

"Oh alright" she said tapping his hands in reassurance.

She went looking for it.

"I told you" he said smiling, giving him an okay sign out of sight.

"Here you go but you have-" She was cut off.

"We'll bring it right back after opening his door" we said in unison and bowed politely.

"Xie xie ni" Lucas smiled taking the key so gently.

He signalled with his eyes to go.

I just shrugged and went upstairs.

"Here" as Lucas lead the way to Kelv's room.

We got in and opened his door.

"Not bad" I said adoring the simplicity of his room.

"He's very tidy" Lucas remarked.

"Okay, so you bring the key back since the landlady likes you better" I said putting down  my bag, Kelv's bag and the gifts we had for him.

Lucas' POV

I went downstairs and saw the landlady waiting for, I guess me.

"Hello" I waved, giving her a smile.

"Here's the keys" I said.
"You did us such a big favor" I said setting down the keys.
"And one more thing, can you not tell Kelv about this please?"
"It would ruin the surprise" I talked all cutesy-like to charm her.

"Awe shucks, glad I could help" she said giving me a it's-no-trouble gesture.

"Xie xie ni again" I said before bowing and going back to Kelv's room.

I get there and Henry already placed the things on Kelv's table.

"Commence phase 3" I said.

As I got out the tape and sealed the switches off.

"Henry" I said.
"Stay close to the door so we don't have to do marco-polo shit" Gesturing for him to position.

"Gotcha" he said giving an okay sign.

"Speak in mandarin so he won't recognize it's us right away" I said giving more steps for the plan.

I finished putting down the tape and set it aside.
