Wraith (BEING REWRITTEN)

Chapter Two

I woke up to the sound of birds and bright light shining through my window. I groaned and glanced at the clock. 7:30. My eyes widened and I jumped off of the bed.

"Em get up! We have 30 minutes until school starts!" I yelled as I ran over to Emma's bed and shook her.

"I'm up! I'm up!" She yelled back. She rolled over and got up. I opened my suitcase and grabbed a random outfit, my toothbrush, face wash, and hairbrush.

While Emma was rummaging through her suitcase I went into the bathroom and got changed. I ended up grabbing jean shorts and a Jurassic park graphic t-shirt. I brushed my teeth, hair, washed my face and slipped on my white converse.

Emma came out of the bathroom five minutes later, she had on jeans and a white t-shirt with regular converse. We headed downstairs and Selena was waiting for us.

"Good morning girls," she said happily as she rummaged around the kitchen. She walked over to us and handed us breakfast. I set the plate down on the table.

"Thank you, what is it?" I asked, looking at the pieces of bread with eggs and little pieces of bacon in it.

"Bruschetta," Selena responded. I thanked again and sat down, "go ahead and start eating." I took a bite and sighed at how good it tasted. When we finished eating Diego came downstairs.

"Alright let's go gorgeous ladies," He winked and walked towards the front door, grabbing keys off of the front table. We walked out the front door and followed Diego as we began walking to school. When we got to the school Diego showed us around. The school was pretty decently sized, it was all indoors other than a courtyard that was. People were meeting up and hugging, having likely not seen each other much over summer.

"Ehi amico, chi sono queste due belle donne?"(Who are these two beautiful women?) A guy said as he walked up to us. Diego laughed and gave the guy a hug. He stepped back and pointed to me and Emma.

"This is Vanessa and that's Emma, they're foreign exchange students," Diego responded. "Vanessa, Emma, this is one of my best friends, Lorenzo." he said as he pointed to the other guy?

"Quale volete?"(which one do you want?) Lorenzo said. I couldn't tell what they were saying but whatever it was, I didn't like it.

"Li voglio entrambi e li avrò, vivono con la mia famiglia,"(I want them both and will have them. They live with my family.) Diego responded with a laugh. I nervously glanced at Emma who also seemed uncomfortable.

"Um, we're gonna go to class," Emma said quickly and grabbed my hand, dragging me down the hallway.

"I don't think they were exactly saying nice things." I mumbled as we walked to our class. Emma agreed and sighed as we walked into our class. The first few hours went by slowly but after we got a break the day went on quickly.

"I'm starving," Emma said as we walked out of the school to wait for Diego.

"Why didn't you eat lunch?" I asked.

"I wasn't hungry then," she responded. This girl I swear. Lucky for her I'm hungry too.

"Maybe we can get Diego to take us to a restaurant or something." I said. Just then Diego came outside and walked up to us.

"I have something to take care of, will you two be able to find your way back home?" He asked.

"Yeah we'll be fine," I nodded. Emma agreed and with that Diego ran back into the school and we began walking.

"Ok let's go explore the city," Emma said. I nodded in agreement and we walked through Milan. We found our way to a little cafe and walked inside to get some coffee.
