-Greyson's POV-

Today is really not a good day. It's the anniversary of my father's death, also the anniversary of my first kill.

Needless to say, I'm not in the mood for bullshit.

"Look David, I don't really care why you are here, I just want your nose to stay out of my business." I snapped.

"King, I'm not trying to get in your business, I just like your club, and I have to admit the women aren't bad either." His Spanish accent is starting to annoy me. "Especially that little brown haired girl from last night."

My eyes snap up from my paperwork up to his and my jaw clenches.

"You know I would've approached her if you hadn't gotten to her first," he pauses with a sigh, "so tell me, is she a good fuck?"

"Watch your mouth," I grit out.

"What? I assumed she was just some one night stand," he smirked, "I would like to take her as my bride."

"You are not going anywhere near her, got it?"
It is taking everything I have not to punch him in the fucking face.

"And why is that?" He sounds generally offended and that pisses me off even more.

"Because she is mine," I stated simply. His eyes lose their humor and he stands abruptly.

"You can't just claim her after I already told you I was interested!" He yells. I stood calmly with a sigh.

"Listen here pretty boy, you don't always get what you want. She's off limits, plain and simple." His face took on a deep scowl. I remained looking impassive but in reality, I just want to kill this fucker.

"I will get what I want, King, I always do," he retorts, sticking his finger in my face. I can't help but laugh at his determination. Sadly for him, he's not getting anywhere near her, not if I have anything to say about it.

"Get out of my club David," my voice comes out calm and detached, "in fact... get out of my city, we wouldn't want you getting into trouble."

"Are you threatening me?" I cock my head at his accusation. Maybe it was a little threat, it wouldn't lead back to me if he somehow ended up on the wrong side of town with a few broken bones.

"Merely making a suggestion," I shrugged, "one that would be smart for you to take."

He hesitates slightly and his expression falters. Then he turns on his heels and storms out the door.

I need to see her. That's all I can think of. I know she's at work so I can go there, I just need to see her.

"Boss," Kai knocks quietly on my door.

"Yeah?" My attention refocuses as he enters and stands silently in front of my desk.

"I was wondering if I could take a few days off for a boxing match out of town." He mumbles. Kai is honestly like a kid brother to me, I took him under my wing when he was 12 and I was 16.

"Yeah, I don't plan on leaving town for a while anyway, too much shit to get done." I replied. The kid deserves a vacation, he's always been by my side. "Just do me a favor and kick some ass."

"You got it, oh and... happy birthday man," he said before walking back out of my office, closing the door behind him.

-Vanessa's POV-

The final bell rang and I hauled ass out of the classroom. Mostly because Diego was there and he's been trying to corner me and ask questions all day. He can't drop the fact that I can't walk straight and it's annoying.
