We spent the rest of our San Francisco trip going out on the town every night. I didn't drink for obvious reasons but Mick and I made sure Emi and Kate didn't die or get drugged.
We packed this morning and spent one last morning and afternoon going around and exploring the city.
"I love this city," Mick pouted as we loaded the car.
"Me too," I agreed. We all got in my car and I began driving out of the parking lot, onto the crowded streets.
"Well we can always come back," Kate shrugged. We all nodded in agreement with shrugs.
About an hour into the drive Mick started recording for her YouTube channel, starting a stream.
Kate then started playing random songs and a certain one came up.
This should be fun.
"I've been trying all night you been shakin your ass for like half of the hype," I internally cringe because I know what's coming next but I know I have to play along.
"Real nice," I sing along.
"You barely gave me a chance," Mick sings, doing dramatic hand movements.
"What?" I sing my next line.
"Do I get another dance?" This time it's Kate who sings.
"I'm leaving," I roll my eyes in mock annoyance, quickly focusing my eyes back on the road. Mick puts her camera up by my face but out of the way so I can still see the road.
"Vanesssaaaaaa," the all 'sing', looking in my direction while I shake my head, laughing.
"Y'all are ridiculous," I say, laughing. I looked in my rear view mirror and my laughter cut short.
A grey hummer that has been tailing us since we left San Francisco switched lanes at the exact same time I did.
This can't be good.
"Hey guys," Mick said, looking behind us, "I don't know if you noticed but that car has been following us for a while now." The other two looked as well.
"I saw it when we left San Francisco," I sighed. They all looked at me in shock. "What? I'm observant ok?"
"Why didn't you tell us?" Kate asked, flicking my head.
"Because I don't need y'all freaking out while I'm trying to drive," I said defensively. "We're stopping in Los Baños in like 20 minutes, maybe we'll lose them there."
"True, should I call Nico?" Emi asked.
"What's he gonna do? He's in New York," Kate said in a duh tone. Emi rolled her eyes.
"Shouldn't they at least know someone's following us?" Mick retorted.
"Girl had a point," I said, changing lanes. The hummer followed closely behind. "Wait, before you do anything, check your phone for anything that shouldn't be there."
"What the hell does that even mean?" Emi asked.
"It means look for a tracking chip or a bug dumbass," Kate replies.
"And I'm supposed to know what that looks like, how?" She scoffs.
"Oh my god," I mumble, shaking my head. "It doesn't matter, for argument's sake don't call anyone in case our phones are bugged."
"How would they have even done that?" Mick asked.
"Probably the same way they knew exactly where to find us," Kate said. Mick shrugged.
After 15 more agonizing minutes of driving with our follower we finally stopped at Los Baños. Before actually parking anywhere we drove around random parking lots in hopes of losing these guys.
It worked.
We parked in between two larger cars in order to hide mine. It's a pretty unique car to see here so it's a dead giveaway.
"Yay food. I'm starving," Kate groans as we walk towards a restaurant.
"Same bro," I agree. Emi and Mick both nod.
We walk into the restaurant and take our seats to wait for a waiter. When the waiter does come she immediately smiles and greets us, taking our drink orders.
After ordering our food and eating we got back on the road, relaxing a bit when we didn't see the hummer behind us.
That is until it showed back up 20 minutes later. They're definitely tracking us. All of us clocked it but didn't say anything else about it in case they really were listening as well.
"Do y'all want to stay at my place tonight?" I asked as we started getting closer and closer to home.
These guys don't need to know where any of the girls live.
"Your mom scared me," Mick grimaces.
"Come on she's not that bad," in actuality she and my dad aren't even home. I'm just hoping if they are listening and they think someone is home they won't try anything.
It takes some inconspicuous convincing but the girls finally agree to staying at my house for the night.
I doubt these guys know where I live yet or have bugged my house so we should be fine if we check our phones.
Just an FYI, chapters are going to likely be on the shorter side for a while until I can get settled and into the rhythm of all of my classes.
I don't know how much time I will have to write during weekdays since I'm getting homework now.
I do apologize. I will still be posting chapters will just be on the shorter side. xoxo
