Chapter Eleven: Nico

Chapter Eleven: Nico

Nico was shocked when Piper told him about Leo's dream. Both Percy and Annabeth captured? But the worst thing was that Gaea had Percy. Why did the stupid gods make them split up?

That's when he heard the scream upstairs. He ran upstairs to find his friends pointing their weapons at the chest of a tall man in a Hawaiian shirt and tan pants. He had green eyes just like Percy with the same humor in them. He gasped "Stop! That's Posiden!" he yelled scaring his friends. "Hmm so there is a smart one aboard" he chucked, his smile was just like Percy's. Then Nico got angry "Why did you make them split up?" he said digging his fingernails in his palm. "Eioldens, they possessed Athena and I. Gaea is getting stronger." he said putting his head down. "I have Horton permission to assist you on this quest. So keep that in mind" he said fading into a cloud of mist. Everyone looked shocked as they started to walk back to their cabins. "Wait!" Nico said a grin spreading across his face. Everyone turned and looked at him, "If the gods Iris messaged them, so can we." everyone started walking downstairs where they had their water sprayer. "It would be easier to talk to Annabeth dive Percy is with Gaea" Piper everyone nodding with agreement. "Oh Iris, please accept our offering show us Annabeth Chase in Tartarus." Nico said closing his eyes. When he opened them a dark image showed up, Nico sighed when he saw two people. Annabeths hair was knotted with blood and spiderwebs she had several cuts but her ankle looked a lot better. She was hand in hand with Percy who was asleep, he had a huge bruise on his forehead and his face looked red like he was recently crying, so did Annabeths Nico was curious to what happened. "Annabeth!" Hazel yelled making Annabeth gasp, causing Percy to mumble something about dirt,cyclops and slimy bones. "An Iris message? I didn't know you could do that here. Percy wake up!" she said. He jumped up clicking his pen hitting his head on the wall. "Owwww" he groaned sitting next to Annabeth. "Are you guys here? Or am I going crazy and your all going to die dramatically causing me to cry my eyes out?" he asked tilting his head to the side. His eyes were filled with fear not the humor he had when Nico had first met them.Tartarus was changing them just as it had changed him. "It's us we are just on an Iris message." Frank said breaking the silence. "Your sure? That's what the last said." he said. "Percy, be quiet it's them." then she turned to the image and said "When Gaea had him she made him go insane. The only reason I found him was because he was screaming so loud glass would break." she said smirking looking at Percy. Even under the light Nico could see his cheeks go bright red. Yep same Percy trying to look tough in front of Annabeth, Nico couldn't help but smile. "How long has it been since-" Annabeth stopped short. "Almost a week, which means we have less than a month to find the doors and close them" Jason said frowning. "A week?" Percy said shocked "We haven't eaten, unless you count slime. Monsters must be able to smell us like crazy" he said putting his hand up covering his mouth from Annabeth "Because Annabeth needs a shower." He said smirking. "Shut up seaweed brain!" Annabeth said slapping him "You haven't showered in a week either. Even after fighting monsters" she said smiling. Nico started chuckling "You don't care where you are, you will always make fun of each other. And you both probably smell" Nico said. "And your the first to get a big hug!" Percy said his eyes filling up with humor. The image started dissolving and Nico blinked tears out of his eyes as it dissapeared completely.

There was a crash upstairs and everyone stopped staring at the must and ran up. A barrel was knocked over and he saw two girls that looked scared. One looked about Percy's age and the other looked his age. The older one had brown curly hair and bright blue eyes. Her hair was down over her shoulders. She was wearing ripped jeans and a red shirt and a white sweater. The younger one had blue glasses covering her green eyes. Her hair was light brown with blue highlights, it was pulled into a messy side braid. She was wearing a blue shirt with a picture of a dolphin on it and her jeans matched her shirt. "Who are you? Are you monsters?" Said the younger girl. "No" Leo said calmly. "They are half bloods I can smell it" Hedge said turning to them. "Who are your parents?" Frank asked "We don't have parents, my mom died in a car crash and my dad sent me to a foster home because I was to mischief trouble. Serenia's dad died in a plane crash. Her step dad was mean to her so she ran away, then she found me and we have been family since. Why do you want to know?" the older one asked. "Why are you on our ship?" Hedge asked crossing his arms at the older girls attitude. "We were being chased by creeps with green slimy hair so we got on this ship and hid." she said. "Well we don't know who your parents are but I'm Nico, son of Hades. This is Piper, daughter of Aphrodite. Jason, son of Zeus. Frank, son of Ares. Leo, son of Hephaestus. And this is my sister Hazel, daughter of Hades. Oh and that's coach Hedge, expect to be called cupcake by him" Nico said. "I'm Aleana and this is Serenia" she said pointing at the other girl. A huge wave crashed the side of the boat and Nico figured it out. "Serenia, your a daughter of Posiden. It all makes sense, the wave her favorite color and her green eyes." Nico said proud of himself. "Aleana, tell us about you" Jason asked. "My favorite animal is the owl, I like architecture, I hate school" she said. "Athena, that's who your mother is." Leo said. That was easier than Nico thought it would be. After a while Hazel said she would share a room with Piper and Aleana and Serenia could use her room. Everyone left and Nico went to his corner of the deck. He put his head on the ground and closed his eyes.

He woke up to the sound of talking. He walked downstairs to the hang out room or in other cases te meeting room. Aleana and Serenia were talking in low voices, they were looking at the pictures pinned on the wall. "That's the cute boy from my dreams" Aleana said pointing at a picture of Percy. They were whispering and Nico leaned on the door making it crack, the girls Turned and stared at him. "Well since you were spying on us you can answer my questions." Aleana said glaring at him. The three if them sat at the table and Aleana pointed to Percy's picture again. "Who is he?" Aleana asked. "He is Percy Jackson, son of Posiden, boyfriend of Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena. She also knows a daughter of Zeus who would gladly electrocute you for saying Percy is cute." Nico said trying not to smile. "Where are they?" Serenia asked. "They are in-" Nico was cut short by Aleana who said "Tartarus, Right?" "Yeah umm, how did you know?" Nico asked curiously. "I've seen him in my dreams, he was with someone, whenever I have the dreams he's always in trouble." she said. "I'm tired we should get to sleep." Aleana said grabbing Selenias wrist walking out. Nico wasn't sure what to think. He went back on the deck and fell asleep.

He woke up and went to go eat breakfeast. "So I have a plan" Jason said "We will go find the doors in about another week and then we will close the doors." he said trying to sound positive. "Dont we all have plans?" Nico said annoying Jason which he found funny when he scowled at him. "No! He's in trouble!" Aleana screamed. "Iris message Percy now." Nico said everyone ran downstairs Leo was mumbling "how does she know?" Nico threw in a drachma and said "Oh Iris accept our offering show us Percy Jackson in Tartarus." The image appeared in the worst time ever. Annabeth was on the floor unconscious, Percy's back was to them and he was facing a nine headed dragon. The dragon saw the Iris message and cocked its many heads to the side. Percy confused turned around and saw them. Nico watched in horror as the dragon lifted its claw "Turn around!" Nico screamed. Percy whipped around just as the claw smacked into him slamming him into the rocks. He screamed and his leg looked badly broken and dislocated. The dragon turned and approached Annabeth who had a huge scratch on her arm, venom dripping down it. The dragon was about to grab her with one of its head when a sword tip came from its back through its heart the dragon turned to dust then dissapeared but Nico knew it would be back. The venom would kill Annabeth, Percy seemed to realize this as he took the last piece of ambrosa and made her eat it. The wound only closed halfway. He ripped the bottom of his short and tied it aroun her arms. His leg was swollen and his face was pale. The image was dissapearing which made Piper start crying. "I need to leave" Nico said walking on deck.
