Chapter Thirty One: Annabeth

Chapter Thirty One: Annabeth

She had locked herself in her bedroom. She layed on her bed and shoved her face into her pillow. She realized how tired she was, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

She was in a black room, she couldn't see anything. All she could hear was two people screaming. When she recognized the screams her heart dropped. It was Percy and Piper. She tried to wake up, she couldn't, all she wanted was to see if they were okay. A small light glowed, letting Annabeth see the Minotar. On his left shoulder was Percy, who was kicking and screaming. In the Minotars right arm was Piper who was also screaming. They were both covered in a layer of mud. A figure appeared on front of the Minotar.

"Good job retrieving them" Gaea said. She looked a lot more weak than before. "I need to start over with the sacrifices. That stupid son of Hades messed everything up, and that daughter of Athena's blood obviously wasn't powerful enough, and this time the son of Posiden isn't getting away" she said sleepily. The Minotar grunted in response. "Your a fool! They saved Annabeth and me from Tartarus once, so I know they will save Piper and me!" Percy yelled. Gaea glared at him, she clapped her hand, a clump of dirt hardened over Percy's mouth and nose. The Minotar held his arms back. Percy kept kicking and pounding, his face turning slightly blue. "Stop! Please!" Piper pleaded. Gaea snapped and the mud melted off of Percy's face. He was breathing heavy, his skin turning back into its regular color. "Piper, Daughter of Aprodite, you are going to love your stay in Tartarus and Percy, son of Posiden, welcome back" she said dissapearing. The Minotar threw them into cages. Locking the two cages he stomped out. All of the bravery drained out of Percy's face as he slummped down to the ground. "Not again, not again, the darkness, visions, not again" he whispered covering his face with his hands. Annabeth knew how hard it was the first time, but to have to go there again. Piper put her hand on his shoulder, "It's going to be okay" she said, Annabeth was sure she had used charmspeak because as soon as she said it, Percy relaxed. Annabeth started waking up.

She jumped out of bed, not bothering to put shoes on, she ran to Percy's room. She opened the door slowly. The entire room was flooded with mud. She walked over to the wall where he had pictures. She grabbed a picture of Percy and her. Tears threatens to spill out of her eyes. She hugged the mud covered picture, "Dinner time! We need some good time" Leo's voice called over the loud speaker. She put the picture in her pocket, her hand still on the picture she walked down to the meeting/eating room.

Everyone say around the table with grim expressions. Jason looked questionly at both Piper's and Percy's empty chairs. "Lazy people, probably sleeping" Leo said rolling his eyes. "I'll go get them" he said standing up. "No!" Annabeth shouted. Everyone looked at her. "I had a dream, somehow Gaea got them. They're in trouble. We need to help them" she said. Jason's jaw dropped and he ran to Piper's room.

Annabeth followed him, "It's no use, we gave to go back to Epirus" she said. The boat changed directions with a jerk. "I need to go to my room" he said walking away. Annabeth walked to her own room. A fuzzy image appeared, Annabeth scowled when she saw Gaea in front of her. "You better come fast. That or you can get another shroud ready" she laughed. The last thing Annabeth heard was Piper scream out. She ran out of her room. The scream banging around her head.

"Leo, how long until we're there?!" she asked quickly. "We're here now" he said slowly. Annabeth jumped off the boat before they landed. She swam ashore and paced until everyone got off. "At least the hole is bigger" Leo said. It was, it also had the shape of the Minitar. For an hour they walked through the smelly tunnel. Jason flinched when Piper's scream echoed through the tunnel. They ran to the arena. A hole opened up. "Careful guys, it might be a trap" Jason whispered walking through. "Don't move!" Gaea's voice shouted when they were in the arena. Piper's body was covered in blood. She was in the corner. "Don't do it!" Annabeth whispered when she saw Percy tied up. The Minotar moved closer to Piper, he would have stepped on her if it weren't for Jason who ran to her. "Jason, Stop!" Annabeth screamed. To late. An arrow pierced Percy's back. He screamed in pain, blood started pouring onto the ground. Gaea's eyelids snapped open.

CLIFF HANGER!!!!! I know(8 I end a cliff hanger with another. But cliff hangers are awesome to write. Not to read. Why Rick why? But please comment and tell me how I did(8 sorry if you don't like cliff hangers....... I do😊
