On the first day of university, you were surprised to feel a new sensation in your heart. A sensation you knew, you'd feel when your soulmate was on radar.
But all the feelings went to drain when the moment you met him was the moment he rejected you...
If one was meant to meet their soulmate coincidentally or what said miraculously then why was meeting yours turning out to be not even once in blue moon?
Whenever you tried to sneak onto Jungkook, by means of magic he would disappear before your shadow could seep into his surroundings.
That happened so often that you were starting to believe that you read the signs wrong. That Jungkook wasn't your soulmate.
"Forget it. I'm tired of throwing rocks in the dark.", you sighed, "I'll just go with the flow."
"Finally, you've reached Nirvana.", Jimin said trying to figure out what he had written in his notes during the last class, "How do I decode all these? It's pure gutter."
"I agree Jim.", Yoongi scrunched his nose, taking a look at the notebook, "I won't write this bad, even with my left hand."
Jimin ignored Yoongi wholly.
"I don't know if this would help, but I heard that some days Jungkook practices late in the field after closing hours.", Jimin said scribbling something, "And he will be practicing today."
"But how will she go there? One should get the coach's permission to practice late hours.", Yoongi scrunched his nose for the umpteenth time while speaking.
"She's coach's favourite student dumbo. Still, don't worry I'll get the permission for myself and Y/N can sneak in later. Nobody watches you know.", Jimin smiled looking at you, "I feel like if you don't get to Jungkook today, the wait will be long."
You looked at Jimin sorrowfully before hugging him, "Isn't it difficult for you?"
He stayed quiet.
"You are always smiling Jim", Yoongi gave a sad smile, "Isn't it tiring."
Jimin tried to wipe the tears that roll down his cheeks while Yoongi ran to his side, hugging him from back.
"Everyday when I go back home, I realize that I'm alone, that she won't be there to welcome me. Even if I cherish all the memories, I end up missing her more. I don't always smile, when I'm at home I never smile.", Jimin sobbed, "She's all over that place, sometimes I feel her presence. Some days when I wake up, I could hear her humming. I know it's all in my mind. And even today when I go back, a part of me expects her to open the door and welcome me in her embrace."
It had been a year since Jimin lost his soulmate in an accident. It had been difficult on his part to cope since then. But this loss gave him a special ability. He could sense things, an ordinary person couldn't.
You stroke his hair gently, "Hey, what if we spend tonight at your house?"
Your gaze met Yoongi's and he nodded.
"Let's do a movie marathon or anything you want?", Yoongi suggested.
"Fine.", Jimin smiled and turned towards you, "But you should confront Jungkook first. We'll be waiting for you by the gate. When you're done we'll head to my place together."
"Yeah. I will. Before that I need to inform Sasha and tell her to cover up for me.", you fished out your phone and was about to walk out of the class when Jimin called you.
"I need to go, have a class now. Meet me at the field gate around 7.", Jimin held your hands, "Y/N, don't believe everything that Jungkook says. I need you to trust your intuitions and listen to your heart. Remember, you have a strong aura surrounding you. I have sensed the same for Jungkook. So if he is your soulmate, don't let him go easily."
"Although I don't understand what the fuck you are saying, but sure.", you sighed and made sure he is crying no more before sending him off to his class.

For obvious reasons, your heart was about to plummet down your stomach as your stood beside two of your friends in front of the field gate.
"Y/N, remember what I said this afternoon.",Jimin said and gave you a gentle push.
"Goodluck Y/N!", you heard Yoongi and turned back to gave a small smile before going inside.
The smile immediately dropped from Jimin's lips, "Yoongi, we need to go to the supermarket."
Confused, Yoongi asked, "Why?"
"We'll be needing a lot of tissue boxes and burgers."
Yoongi had his eyes blown wide, "You mean...What the fuck man? Why did you send her in?"
Jimin sighed, "Yoongi, you do realize that I can't stop her from meeting her soulmate, right?"
"But...Are you sure that Jungkook is her soulmate?"
"I knew since the moment she asked about him. I could sense their auras on the field that day.", Jimin hesitated, "And it's gloomy."
"That means--"
"I don't know what exactly that means. It can be anything and I could only guess. But it's totally opposite to yours--shit.", Jimin gulped nervously hoping Yoongi to miss what he said.
"Spill Jim. I heard it, no more hiding."
Jimin frowned, "I feel that you will meet your soulmate soon.", suddenly a gentle breeze blew from your direction and touched his face, "And guess, Y/N will lead you to your soulmate."
"Woah woah. Don't tell me it's gonna be anytime soon please. Y/N will be needing us and I don't want to do anything that might spoil her mood further.", Yoongi joined his hands as if pleading.
Jimin snorted, "First, Y/N would be rather happy about you. Second, wow, there's a possibility that you might get rejected too, hope you haven't ruled out that option."
"Ah that too fine. I don't mind--"
"Yoongi, I'm talking about soulmates not some clothes.", Jimin looked at him in disbelief, "Good that the aura surrounding you is merry."
Yoongi blinked and the blank expression on his face remained.
"Why did I even bother explaining...", he pulled Yoongi by his arm, "Let's go and get back before Y/N walks out."

You tiptoed towards the soccer field where Jungkook was sending the balls into the net kicking from outside the penalty box. You stopped and took a breath.
Again, tiptoeing, you covered half of the distance when the sensation returned. As you clutched on your chest, you noticed Jungkook freezing his actions, his back still facing you.
"Jungkook..."
He turned and when your eyes met, you didn't knew if your stars and moons collided but you became certain of him being your soulmate.
"So you finally found me, huh?"
And the deep frown setting on his face was unsettling.
