It had been a week and you haven't been doing well. You stayed gloomy always, making your friends worry that nothing could cheer you up.
While everyone was clueless, Jungkook knew you missed those four guys and same for him, he had been settled with a void too.
Still he had been trying to make time for you, provide you company often traveling back and forth from Goyang to Seoul , even when he had a big project nearing deadline.
Also thanks to him, you were recovering from the heartburns now.
"Where are you?", you asked Jungkook on phone one afternoon.
"In my studio", came his reply, "What happened?"
"Can you visit me anytime soon?", you sighed helplessly, "There are things I wanna talk to you about."
Jungkook immediately stood on his feet in panic and then after pondering for some moments he asked, "Tomorrow sounds good?"
"Yeah, it's Sunday. Drop by my apartment.", you pursed your lips in a line, "I'll be waiting."
Next morning, around 8, you heard the doorbell ringing and instantly knew it was your lover boy.
You let him in, asking him to follow you to the kitchen.
Jungkook cleared his throat, grabbing your attention, "So what did you want to talk about?"
You handed him a glass of something that looked like juice, "Drink it up."
Jungkook threw a questioning gaze at you, "Not planning to kill me right?"
"I already did once", you chuckled bitterly, looking away.
A pang of guilt hit Jungkook as he held your face, making you look at him, "You didn't. That has got nothing on you."
"You could have been a great ruler Jungkook. You were already so promising, at such young age.", you sniffled, "You won't understand what it felt like to see you taking your own life and that too because of me. You and Seokjin both", you exhaled sharply, grabbing his hands, "All I wanted was for you both to life well."
"It was tormenting to live without you.", Jungkook whispered, resting his forehead against yours, "Let's not talk about it anymore. With Seokjin been sent off, I think we should focus on our future now."
You nodded and laid out your hands on his chest, creating space between you both.
"Drink it up.", you squinted eyes at him, "Quick."
Jungkook sighed in defeat before taking the glass and gulping the juice in one go.
"That's cranberry juice and I hate it. It's so bitter.", Jungkook gagged out, his face twisted in disgust.
"That's what.", you laughed, "Time to get back. So nice of lack of sense you had."
"What are you trying to pull?"
"I'll tell you", you smiled and walked upto him, hands wrapping around his shoulders while his automatically resting on your hips, out of a habit.
"I tried the pastries I made yesterday", you say carefully, "And I loved the strawberry flavoured the most, turned out to be sweetest of them all."
Your eyes dart on Jungkook's face trying to read his expression. You could see it all, him being unaffected as if he had heard the most mundane, obvious face anyone could say in the entire universe. Then him zoning out for some moments before being it clicked in him.
His eyes widened comically when he was able to put two plus two equals five, well in your case.
You bit your lips to stop the huge grin that threatened to break, as Jungkook's eyes tried to search for any hints of mislead or prank.
