Jimin sat in silence, dread filling in his guts as he saw the auras.
Something was about to happen today.
"Thanks Gyu", you said with a mischievous smile.
"Oh please, of course I'd come--"
"For bringing Mish.", you side hugged his wife, "You're not that important."
"Right, Love.", Mish said hugging you back.
The dirty look that Mingyu threw towards you both gave a great sense of satisfaction.
"Don't mind her.", Jimin patted on Mingyu's back, "She's a crack."
You glared at Jimin, "And what are you doing here?"
To that he cleared his throat, flustered and looked away.
"No body asked him to come.", Vanya said in her defense, "In case you're wondering. I'd never."
"Traitor.", Jimin muttered and you all snorted.
Jungkook sat in the corner quietly, not expecting anyone to indulge in any kind of conversation with him. He just came to spend some time in your presence or even to help only if you'd need it but seeing so many people already there he thought that wouldn't happen.
You turned back to take a quick glance at Jungkook only to find him looking at you with stars in his big doe eyes.
And your chest tightened a little.
Looking away hastily you asked Vanya to mix the batter while Mingyu helped you to prepare the raspberry gelatin.
Kim Mingyu was one quite observer. Though he didn't know about your past, he wondered if you both could begin again.
Because Jungkook was one quite supportive friend and you were one quite nice person.
"My hands are giving up Y/N.", Mingyu feigned a groan after some time.
You nodded, "I can handle it alone for sometime Gyu, go and relax."
Mingyu sighed and walked across you to take a seat and while doing so he glared at Jungkook, pointing his eyes aggressively at your direction.
Well, Jungkook took the hint.
He was immediately on his feet in a moment and in the next beside you, taking another spatula and stirring the mix.
You squinted eyes at him and said comically, "Yo whatcha doin'?"
Jungkook snickered, "Don't know, just following your hand movements. We need to mix it thorough right?"
"Yeah actually this is a whole batch. And it's actually tiresome to prepare this. The most arduous part is we can't stop or leave it. Stir Constantly while maintaining the temperature otherwise it'll form lumps. Plus this..."
Jungkook found your rambling adorable. He knew you were speaking more to divert your attention from the aching hand, definitely by now.
"You were planning to do it alone?", Jungkook asked his eyes pointed at you in disbelief.
"Me and Vanya, yes. Generally when we do wedding cakes, we take turns depending on the amount. Seungkwan, Dokyeom and Chan joins us, they always goof around and that really keeps us going.", you said with a broad smile.
"Do you hire part timers?", Jungkook asked out of curiosity.
"Vanya, Seungkwan and Dokyeom work as full time employees. The rest including Chan are part timers. I know how much these jobs matter for the students so I don't bind them in contracts. They do need to work for two months after that they are free to leave.", You say in a knowing tone, "You must be thinking that I'm a great boss but no."
