"Earth to Jungkook", you snapped fingers at his face.

Jungkook shrugged, finishing the muffin you had given him.

"Why did your lack of sense disappear?", he asked, disappointment laced in voice.

You smiled. And Jungkook swore his heart skipped a beat.

"As if you don't know. I'm sure yours disappeared too.", you cocked brows and turned to look at him again.

"No. Mine still exists.", he refuted immediately, "Tell me why."

"Oh.. I don't know how it works but", you pursed lips in a line, "Mine disappeared when I rejected you four years ago. You know when, don't make me say it."

Jungkook flinched, inhaling sharply.

You continued, "I thought yours disappeared too since you rejected me multiple times?", you frowned, "Anyways, I think you'll get a new soulmate once you get over Claire and then maybe the current one will disappear and new lack of sense will appear", you heaved a breath and gave he an incredulous look, "which reminds me, why are you here?"

Jungkook stayed silent and your eyes widened.

"Don't tell me you're here to ruin the wedding, oh my god!", you slapped a hand over your mouth.

Jungkook found you amusing and giggled so cutely that you had to stop your urge to pinch his cheeks.

"I'm over Claire, Y/N.", He said still giggling, "And don't worry, I'm not here to ruin the wedding, infact I'm looking over all the arrangements. Me, Joon & Claire are good friends and yes Joon knows about our past."

Though you found it difficult to believe but nonetheless, you were impressed.

"Looks like someone had a major character development.", you teased subliminally.

Jungkook shook head visibly ashamed and was hesitating to say something.

Rather ask you something.

Still mustering every ounce of courage he asked, "Y/N, can we be friends again?"

The question hang upon like a heavyweight between you two.

You stared at him unnerving before speaking.

"Nope. I won't repeat the same mistake thrice.", you said sternly, "I pretty much still don't want to see or get involved with you in any possible way. Me not chasing you out as soon as you came here doesn't mean I forgot everything. I'll always remember what you did to me."

All the hope Jungkook harboured dissipated in a flash.

How was he supposed to say under which circumstances he had left you on that fateful day?

"I understand Y/N.", he smiled sadly, "Anyways, we're not soulmates anymore, so don't worry I won't be able to hurt you."

You felt odd tingles throughout your body.

"But I-I want you to know that I tried Y/N. That day was...", you could see the tears pooling at the corner of his eyes, "Nevermind, but if there's anything such as fate, god or afterlife, I hope they hear what I'm going to say now."

You braced yourself for whatever was to come of his mouth.

"I ruined the 'us' in this one but I wish for you to be mine in all other lifetimes."

Your heart stung hearing those words and you clutched on the edge of the slab tightly. Jungkook never believed in such things, now hearing him say this left you in shock.

"Jungkook, you haven't changed.", you walked upto him, "You still say things you don't mean. You don't care about how the person on the recieving end feels."
