Life Flashes Before Your Eyes

You and Tanjiro ran forward and sliced off the demons by their mouths. The moment you did that, however, Tanjiro pulled you closer to him and put his hands over your eyes, making a your cheeks tint red. 

"T-Tanjiro...."

"S-Sorry!"

He let his hand drop and you looked over to Genya. "Genya did it!" Tanjiro exclaimed. As Tanjiro drew closer, Genya turned and has this... rather demonic look across his face. You sighed. "Tanjiro." You pointed to the demons. "I think it worked."

Tanjiro turned and heard the demons' cries of utter pain. Burning, they called it. Your ear twitched and you looked around. There were five bodies. But where was the fifth? You slipped away from Tanjiro and looked around.

"Y/N!" Tanjiro ran up to you. "I assume you've figured out that there's a fifth body. Tell Genya when you find it, I'll be searching as well." You nodded and looked around. The sound was quiet, as if you were listening to a small mouse.

You knelt down in the bushes, hoping the sound would get louder if you were closer to the ground. "Genya!" You finally said. "Head Northeast! The demon's there!" He looked at you and nodded, running off in the direction you told him.

You ran after Genya. "It seems like it's either extremely tiny, or in the ground." He looked along the ground. "It's probably in the grou-" You put your hand in front of him and pointed in a cluster of bushes. "Nope... it's tiny."

"Die!!"

You turned your head and saw Karaku about to slam down Tanjiro with his fan. "You handle it, alright Genya!" You ran over to Tanjiro and sliced the demon's arm before the fan could reach him.

"Are you alright?" Tanjiro nodded, holding his head.  

Karaku growled. "Damn Hashira!" He made a new, but you grabbed Tanjiro by his uniform and got out of the way. 

"GENYA!!" Then, you had noticed that Sekido began advancing towards Genya and you adjusted your grip on your sword.

Flame Breathing, First Form: Unknowing Fire

You slashed Sekido's hand off, along with the staff. There was too many of them. "Don't give up!" Tanjiro yelled. He ran off further, making Sekido follow him. "Tanjiro-!" Then, someone practically blurred passed you, towards Tanjiro.

Tanjiro shut his eyes, ready for impact, but didn't feel anything. Once he turned to see why, he saw Genya, holes scattered along his body. "Genya!" 

"I can't cut off his head. I'll give you the honours, just this once."

Tanjiro nodded and ran towards the small demon, you running behind him. "So tiny..!!" Tanjiro muttered. You nodded and put your foot in the demon's path. Never thought you'd ever have to do that. Lifting his sword, Tanjiro cut the small demon's head.

But there was something wrong. 

Flame Breathing, Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun

As you thought, a demon behind you moved backwards, avoiding your attack. "A sixth body..." Tanjiro barely whispered. You shook your head. "That... is all the bodies put together." You could see it in its eyes: the three demons that you were just fighting were in him.

"Genya, that was the Anger demon, right? Sekido?" Genya nodded, a confused look on his face. "How did you know?"

Basically ignoring the question, you ran up to the new demon, who was manipulating wood to wrap around the small one. You sliced the demon's arm off, making the wood freeze in its place. 

"Tch... so you're the one he was talking about." The demon said. You squinted. "And you're the one... that I've never heard of."
