"Huh! Would you look at that!" Shinazugawa exclaimed once he gained sight of the demon's unsheathed sword. "That sword is pretty freaking disgusting!"

Moon Breathing, Fifth Form: Cursed Vortex of the Ghostly Moon

With his eyeball-covered blade, the demon conducted multiple slashes on Shinazugawa, his blade not moving. This was noticed by Shinazugawa, but what do you know, he turned it into a laughing matter.

"Ha, you keep repeating those slashes without even swinging your blade!" He taunted, charging forward.

Wind Breathing, Third Form: Clean Storm Wind Tree

"Not bad." The demon said while dodging. "I see that your physical body and techniques... are at their peaks."

The demon's continuous slashes danced in the air, with smaller ones seeming to follow. Unknown to Shinazugawa, he had mentioned that he was one of the users of the original breath; a Tsugikuni.

But his breathing techniques were the opposite of the sun. The fact that he could use breathing techniques as a demon was already unanticipated.

On top of that, his speed surpassed Shinazugawa's.

"Fun...!" Shinazugawa began. "This is so much fun! This is a demon worth killing!"

Seemingly un-present from his current situation, it was almost as if he was playing a game, lifting his sword and doing another technique. Did that mean he thought it was easy? By no means.

Their swords clashed, the metal clinks echoing throughout the room.

Just as the demon's sword got far too close to Shinazugawa's neck, he blocked it with his own sword and used Genya's to make the demon move his head back.

The battle raged on, the gap between their skills seeming to get smaller and smaller by the second. A nostalgic feeling is what the demon called it.

"Back in the Sengoku Era... this is the way I..." He cut himself off. "Yes.. how the wind pillar and I... improved our swordsmanship skills."

With an upper swing of his blade, he released another technique, making multiple slashes go through Shinazugawa's torso.

Heavily panting, Shinazugawa struggled to stand, something the surrounding pillars and lattice failed to do.

But while it seemed like the demon's triumph, he felt this unfamiliar pulse in his body, with Shinazugawa laughing as if he had lopped his head off.

"Cats to silvervine, demons to rare blood." He looked up, his violet eyes meeting the only two eyes he managed to look at on the demon, his body still being able to charge forward. "Whoa buddy, what's the problem? You're staggering. Looks like my blood even works on Upper Moons!"

His blood, so rare, it was like a diamond among iron. Anyone would be drawn to the diamond. In this case, any demon would be drawn to his blood.

His blood was so intoxicating, it was nearly impossible for demons to beat him, even before becoming part of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Shinazugawa's blood has stopped spilling, his muscles flexed so nothing would start gutting out.

"This is not something a human should be able to do." The demon gazed upon the peculiar boy, this feeling of drunkenness still felt in his body. "Interesting..." He lifted his foot and pinned Shinazugawa's sword to the ground.

His life flashed before his eyes.

It was funny how he used to talk to Oyakata-sama... Ubuyashiki-sama is what he used to call him. But the amount of respect he has for him now is incredible. It was almost funny.
