While Tanjiro dealt with... that, you looked around the forest.

"Genya!" You walked along the path leading to the hot springs, hoping to find Genya there. "Ah, there you are!" He was sitting on a stump, not far from the hot springs and the town.

You sat next to him. "Do you want some onigiri?" He shook his head. "No thanks." He looked at the ground, fidgeting with his fingers. "You look a lot less feral when Tanjiro isn't here." You joked, making his head snap to you. "What do you mean?!"

You laughed and leaned back on the stump. "Anything on Shinazugawa-kun?" He disappointedly shook his head, and you patted him on the back. "Don't worry! He'll come around."

Over the past few weeks, you learned a bit about what exactly was going on with Shinazugawa and Genya. The way Genya mistakenly blamed Shinazugawa for their mother's death, and how Shinazugawa doesn't even refer to him as a brother.

"Shinazugawa-kun has always been pretty reserved." You said, biting the onigiri. "Don't think too much of it. Besides, I know he really cares about you." You smiled, looking at the tray in your lap. "But, I guess you can't really take my word for it."

Genya sighed. "I'll head back. You can stay if you want." You nodded and watched Genya walk back to town, leaving you in the forest.

You looked at the ground as your ears began to ring. As you grazed your fingers on your ear, you whispered, "It's getting worse..."

"Y/N, someone's come to visit you." Aoi said, popping her head in your room. You nodded and she let them in. "O-Oh! Gi-chan!" He sat on the stool next to your bed. "Kocho-san told me about it already. Are you feeling better?" You looked in your lap and nodded, just as a flash of that demon's memory came back to you.

Giyuu stared at you for a minute. "Oyakata-sama asked if you'd like a leave." You shook your head. "N-No! I'm just... taking a little... time to recover." You put your hand on your bandaged arm, which was probably already healed.

"I'm sorry, it's just that... I don't want something like this to stop me." You put your hand on your ear. "I mean, Genya can't use Breathing Techniques and he's doing fine!" You brought your knee to your chest. "So... I don't understand why this is affecting me so much."

"Excuse me." Your thought were interrupted by one of the swordsmen living in the town walking up to you. "Are you alright?"

You grinned and nodded. "Yes, thank you. I'll be heading back now. Have a nice day!" You walked back to town and decided to hang out with Mitsuri.

"Hey Y/N!" She greeted once you came into her line of vision. You waved and walked up next to her. "Your sword is still being forged?" She nodded with her usual bright smile. "I'm excited!"

"I don't understand how you're able to use a sword like that." You told her. "I'd cut myself right away. It's like Gyo-kun's sword. I'd injure myself more than the demon injures me."

Mitsuri giggled. "Oh, I'm sure you could do it!"

You paused and looked at a building. "Hey, Mitsu-chan. Who's staying there?" She looked to where you were pointing. "Oh, Tanji-"

Before she even got the chance to finish her sentence, there was a loud bang that came from the building in question. "T-Tanjiro's there!" She gasped. You unsheathed your sword. "You wait for your sword to finish, I'll see what's wrong!"

You ran towards the building and Genya ran up to you. "What happened?!" You shut your eyes, listening to what was going on in the building. After a few seconds, you opened your eyes. "Upper Moon..."
