Alright, just so we're clear, I'm not entirely sure how Japanese weddings worked in the 1930s so... ehe

"Y/N, you look so pretty!" Aoi complimented. You looked down at your wedding kimono, smoothing out the ruffles shakily. "Are you sure? There's nothing that you think we need to change?"

"We could change the fact that you haven't told us how he proposed!" Mitsuri plopped down next to you, leaning forward intently.

You pursed your lips and looked to the side. "Well..."

"Hey Y/N!" Tanjiro kissed your temple and put his arm around your shoulder.

"Oh, Tanjiro. I didn't know you came in."

"You couldn't hear me?"

You shook your head and looked back at the food you were making. "Is Giyuu-san home?" Tanjiro asked. "No, he's out with Sanemi, Oba-kun, and Gyo-kun."

"Hm? Not Kanroji-san?"

"No, it's guy's night... I may or may not have planned it for them, though."

"Typical." He wrapped his arms around your waist. "Can we go hang out? Zenitsu and Nezuko went on three dates last month and we went on none!"

"Alright, alright! I'll just finish this for Mitsu-chan." You gave the now filled bag to your crow, letting him carry it to Mitsuri and Obanai's house.

"Let's go."

You and Tanjiro walked hand in hand down the cherry blossom path, as you called it. "You have one right here." Tanjiro pulled a petal off your head and smiled. "Ah... thank you."

You leaned on his shoulder, a smile creeping on your face. "Have you ever seen the path at night?"

"Hm, no, I haven't. What does it look like?"

"The cherry blossoms start looking like they're purple, and the moon shows up right there." You pointed at the sky. "It's really pretty."

"I'm sure it is."

The sun began setting, the last few rays of light poking through the trees before finally disappearing. The moment it went dark, lanterns that were hung on the trees lit up.

"I... don't remember those being there." You said, glancing at Tanjiro.

His cheeks flushed and he stopped walking, now turning to you and taking your other hand in his. "Do you remember...? I confessed to you under the shadows of the trees on this day, ten years ago."

"Oh, really? Sorry, I hadn't realized."

"It's alright." He paused for a moment, then backed away, loosening his grip on your hands.

"Y/N, you've been my girlfriend for a while now... ten years, like I said." He knelt down. "We were students, partners, friends... we've been through a lot. And now..."

"Would you like to go through life as my wife?"

"And, uh... that's how it happened." You scratched the back of your head.

"Hm, better than a majority of proposals I've heard about." Aoi stated.

"Don't worry, I'll help Inosuke with his proposal so he doesn't just hide the ring in your food or something."

"Y/N!!"

You laughed and moved back. "No, I can't run in this dress! Don't chase me!"

The awaited time began, walking down the aisle as Tanjiro waited, stepping over the light pink petals down the aisle.

"Are you nervous?" Giyuu whispered to you. You clung onto his arm a bit tighter, signalling that you were.

You stood in front of Tanjiro, Giyuu rather reluctantly letting go of your arm and sitting down between Shinazugawa and Uzui. "I'm surprised you even let go." Uzui joked. Shinazugawa clicked his tongue and leaned forward, putting his elbows on his knees.

The ceremony began, letting everything happen. You fidgeted with your fingers, nervously.

Finally, the priest provided the sake cups, as you stared down at the small cup. You glanced back, seeing Giyuu with one, and...

You gasped quietly.

In the back, behind the crowd, Sabito looked into a sake cup, swirling it around a bit before showing the inside of it to your parents, who were standing behind him.

Shinobu suddenly ran over, patting Sabito's shoulder and motioning over to you. Sabito looked up and waved with a grin. Kanae put her hand on Shinobu's shoulder and smiled at you as well.

Muichiro shook your dad's arm, to which your father shook his head. He was probably asking for a sake cup as well, Genya next to him with a smile.

"Y/N."

You blinked and looked over at Tanjiro. "Are... you okay?" Your eyes did a quick glance to the back again, seeing that they were gone.

"Yeah... Yeah, I'm fine. Better than that."

You sipped your sake, shutting your eyes. Onii-chan... are you proud?
