|(Satans pov)
Gunshots echo down the full streets, causing chaos. The screams of hundreds of people, all men, women, and children. Though it seems it's only children who are crying loud enough to be heard through everything else. A woman holds a young man in her arms, tears streaming down her face. Showing sadness or regret that it had been her son who had taken the bullet and not her. He had been no older than twenty. My eyes scan the area and onto the rooftop, a figure stands there in all black, their figure showing through the body armor they wore, a scoff leaves my lips.
"Eastside roof, shoot but don't kill" I speak into the mic soon static is all I hear before a quick grunt and words follow. Another gunshot echos and the figure on the rooftop falls. A smirk pressed to my lips as I started to run past the people who were fearful around me, their cries being cut out as everything seemed to be going in slow motion, and all I heard was my heart pound. I slam the door open to the building before climbing up the many stairs, lights around me flicker. Somehow I felt something bad was going to happen. But I didn't care as long as they were off the streets...
"So, what was your reason for killing all those people?" I ask, only earning a scoff from them as they cross their arms over their chest the best they could. They had been placed under my watch, they close their eyes and lean back, their leg chained to the table
"I had no reason, I just wanted some fear in this city. It gets boring sometimes" they state coldly, breath becoming jagged as I inch closer to them.
"I see." I place my hand on their shoulder, roughly cupping it, earning a grunt in pain and a sharp glare. Their hand grabs my wrist trying to pull me off, yet they had been too weak to move too much. "If you expect me to be gentle with you, just because of your injury." I jerk their body towards me as our eyes meet. I see fear flash within their eyes as they bite their lip "You're dead wrong, I could care less what state you're in." I chuckle as they try to move away again, the light above both of us sways showing little of the room. They look past me to see nothing, I can feel the fear radiating off them as they push me away "Let's play a game, though I do have to warn you, the chances of you winning are slim to none" I mutter causing their eyes to widen " if you do win you can leave unscathed" I see determination flash in their eyes even with the slim chance they have "ah, don't get too excited. The rules have yet to be spoken." I chuckle as I look at them "don't get caught for three hours and you win, but if I catch you.. You'll never see the light of day again. Do we have a deal?" they nod their head, smirking. I pull a key from my pocket leaning down to unlock the locks keeping them in place. Trying to push themselves up but they collapse back into the chair, making me chuckle as it hits them. They weren't able to walk or run, the gun that shot them was aimed at their leg shattering their ankle in the process. They would have to crawl in this game.
"Wait, isn't this unfair?" they stutter, fear returning to them. My hand rests on the back of the chair pulling it out from under them causing them to hit the ground
"Nothing in life is fair, was it fair when you took the lives of those around you?" the ones who had the most dreams?" I step back away from them, lifting my hand to turn off the light, causing the room to fall into darkness. Hearing the shuffle in the dark I see their figure leave the room...
