I hear the doors jingle as someone walks into the small coffee shop. I look up and see it's someone that's been coming everyday since I started working here. ( Which has only been a couple weeks) I can't help but stare as he walks up to the desk, and plants a grin on his face. My chest feels like its floating and my vision goes blurry, my pupils going foggy.

" Hey? You there?" The male waves his hands infront of my face, his head tilted. " Earth to Mr..." The male looks at my chest, and reads the nametag. "Dwight!" Claudette yells and stands beside me, shaking me slightly. " S-Sorry! I zoned out..." I place my right palm behind my head and rub my head slowly. " Dwight, I'll take this one, just try to stay focused on the job..." I nod and walk to the other register, sighing.

A couple minutes pass before Claudette comes beside me and starts up a conversation. The day was going pretty slow, so we were pretty free most the time. I look over to the male, and notice hes staring in our direction. I shuffle a bit before turning back to Claudette. " Soooo... Dwight. How long have you liked him?" Claudette asked me with a smile on her face. " W-...What?!" I cover my face with my hands, feeling my cheeks get hot. " I- What? No- Don't- What?!" I peek through small holes between my fingers, and see Claudette holding back laughter. " I don't even know if he's gay-! B-besides! He's totally checking y-you out!" I yelp as I tilt my head in his direction. " What? No he's not? He's totally looking at you Dwight. I think he's noticed you zoning out every, single, time he walks into the shop." I reveal my eyes and shut them. " Do you think... he knows?" Claudette nods and sighs. " It'll be fine. Just go talk to him! It's your lunch break anyways. You have nothing else to do. Better then sitting outside watching cars drive by." I shake my head, removing my hands, and softly biting on my right-thumb nail. " I can't! I'll zone out again! Besides, he's *probably* not gay, and he's way too hot for me, and he probably doesn't even like me if he *was* gay!" I hear a deep chuckle from behind me, and I quickly turn on my heels. My face instantly turns hot, with me looking straight down.

" I'm hot, eh?" My body shakes and I look for Claudette, but notice she went to the back, to let us conversate. " I'm sorry- I d-didn't know you were there! I shouldn't have said anything, j-just ignore me-" The male chuckled again, leaning against the counter. I look back up, and see a grin planted on his perfect face. I look into his emerald green eyes. " How about you come sit with me... and we'll talk over a small coffee." The male invited me to sit with him, and I reluctantly accepted, nodding my head slowly. " S-Sure..." I walk from behind the counter, and followed the male to his seat.

I sat down on the opposite side of him, him being on the left side of the booth, and me being on the right. I looked at his long dark coat, which was unbuttoned, and he had a grey shirt on. " S-So... What did you want to t...talk about...?" I hated the fact that I was too nervous to normally talk to him. He was just too... amazing. I push my left thumb into the palm of my right hand, moving my thumb in small circles. " I just wanted to let you know, I think you're pretty cute. Andddd, if we're going off what you told Ms. Morel. You think the same thing, correct?" The male chuckled and sipped on his hot coffee. I nodded my head, my cheeks burning. " Names David, by the way." I looked into his eyes again, and replied quietly, " Dwight..." I looked down and saw my nametag on my chest. I instantly wanted to hit myself across the face. " Y-You already knew that, Sorry-" David laughed and sighed. " It's alright, Dwight." I looked out one of the windows, and watched the snow make its way down onto the streets. David passed me a sheet of paper, with numbers scribbled on it. " Text me when your shift is over." David beamed a smile at me, and I felt my cheeks turn red. I couldn't talk, so I just nodded. " Talk to ya soon!" David winked at me, before turning and leaving the coffee shop.
