Once Yamamoto-senpai arrived, the rest of the team arrived. You got the other dancers to practice all their pieces full out with no mistakes. She was pleased with your taking the lead. You went back into your dressing room and started doing some finishing touches. You felt as if your blush wasn't as bright as before. You called one of the volunteers to help you lace up into your dress as it was a beautiful cadet grey costume with a wide tutu. You paired it up with flesh coloured stockings.
Once you were all dressed up, you were ready to go on stage. There was one more act til you had to go. You walked backstage with your dance partner, Yuta.
"Are you ready Yuta-san?" You looked at him.
"I've always been ready. How about you Y/N-chan?" He looked at you up and down.
"As ready as I'll ever be, but I'm kind of nervous," you awkwardly laughed.
"As long as you don't mess up our chemistry on stage then we're good," he fake smiled.
"You guys are up next," a guy tapped both your shoulders.
You took a deep breath while closing your eyes, and thought about impressing Atsumu. You wanted to show him that you could convey a wonderful story.
As the lights dimmed and the curtains closed, you knew that it was time for you to move onto the stage and get into position. You posed as gracefully as you could, waiting for the music to play. The curtains reopened with a brand new set. You made sure not to break character while looking for Atsumu in the crowd.
The music starts and you're already elegantly smiling towards the audience. This piece involved you to play the wind which is the embodiment of a timid girl who had a bright personality. You had to show how positive and innocent you were through your facial expressions. You had to also show how lonely you were without any friends.
Luckily, "Cloud" who is played by Yuta, comes in and decides to interact with you. At first you were nervous and tried to run away from him, but he was too persistent. He convinced you that he is someone that can protect and take care of you. You agreed and began to open up to him and started showing your wonderful personality.
At first, everything was perfect. You found joy spending time with him day by day and so did he. Though, he never told you that he was ashamed to be seen with you. He hasn't spoken a word to his friends about you because they consider you a disgrace.
One day, you were hanging out with him near the river and his friends were passing by. He immediately pushed you into the river and told you not to make a sound. You followed his orders with fright in your eyes. Fortunately, his friends never saw you. He went to talk to them and you overheard them speaking badly about you. What made it worse was that he was agreeing and laughing as well. You teared up, thinking how dumb you were for assuming that he liked you the same way you did. You fled away quietly.
This was your last scene until you were done. You changed into a black costume with a black tutu. You went backstage not feeling as nervous as before. You were feeling slightly upset how this described a little bit of your life.
"The curtains are about to close, so get ready to go," the same guy whispered.
Once the curtains closed, you quietly walked near the bridge that you were suppose to walk upon once the music played. You were happy to finish this piece as your feet were killing you.
The curtains open and the music begins to play soothingly. You began to walk sorrowfully up the bridge as if someone splashed water all over you. You walked off the bridge and began to do your contemporary piece in the choreography. As you were about begin your pirouettes, you had to first do an Attitude Efacée and as you went onto your high demi pointe, you looked at the crowd and saw Atsumu directly looking at you.
For a moment, you saw his precious smile looking at you dancing. You couldn't help, but start to wonder how much you will miss him and that smile. There will be a point in time where you won't wake up with him. You won't get his good morning kisses. He won't drive you around anymore. No date nights, no cuddles in bed, no hugs. It's all gone.
Once you finished your last jeté, you felt your eyes water. You felt your heart pound faster than usual. Your throat was closing in as your you prevented yourself from crying. You played along with your emotions as your first tear fell. You acted as if it was all part of the piece. You slowly extended your back leg towards the floor and slightly tilted your body back as you were about to finish dancing. You swayed your arms around to end up landing them next to your heart.
The music stopped. The audience clapped while standing up with enthusiasm. The curtains closed and you walked straight to your dressing room to reapply your makeup.
Idiot
Idiot
Idiot
Idiot
Why did you fall in love with him?
After one month with him?!
You cried on stage?
You disgrace.
That is so unprofessional.
It was pathetic and ugly.
You made yourself look ugly because of your cry.
You quietly closed the door and flopped onto the chair. You pinched your skin to prevent yourself from crying anymore. You repeated to yourself the same words. "Crying is a sign of weakness."
You calmed yourself down and started to reapply some concealer. Someone knocks on your door as you grabbed your blender.
"Can I come in?" You heard Yuta's voice.
"Yes," you took a deep breath, preparing to act natural. He enters the room and quickly closes the door.
"Do you have something to say?" You looked at him weirdly.
"Are you okay? Cause you...like...cried on stage," he nervously spoke.
"I was acting. I planned the whole thing," you smiled.
"You're a really good actress then. I actually started feeling bad for you for a second there. How embarrassing," he chuckled.
"Yeah...so embarrassing," you tried not to sound hurt.
"Anyways, I'm down with my solo and I was wondering if you wanted to go out and celebrate together? Just us two since you're not friends with the others," he offered.
"Sorry I can't, my family is throwing a big dinner after this with my fiancée's family," you respectfully declined.
"Wait you're engaged?!"
"Yes I am," you went back to blending your face.
"I had no idea someone could be interested you," he awkwardly laughed.
"How so?" You were curious.
"Well, not to be rude or anything, but you're like a dictating bitch who is also a spoiled brat. It's surprising someone was able to handle that attitude of yours," he didn't hesitate.
Yeah...that's my fault for asking that question.
"We should get ready for the final dance," you changed the subject.
"Right, see you in a few."
