I blinked a few times, as if I had not heard a single word that my friend Ben, had said to me just now. I had in fact heard what it was that he had said to me how ever, the fact was, I just was not sure what to do. I was starting to have a serious case of me having 2nd thoughts on all of this, and whether it was a good idea or not.
I sighed a little bit, as I looked down at the ground at the same time too. It was a lot for me to take in all at once. The only time that I had been out of this two leg nest, if you wanted to call it that as well, was when I went out in the back yard, to look out in the the beautiful world that had been all around me.
It felt crazy to me, some of the stories that I had been told about the wild, as I kept my eyes closed, thinking back on a lot of the stories at the same time too. I had been told that it was a scary place to be, but at the same time as well, I had also been told by cats that had been out there at one point, that it was also the most beautiful place that they had ever seen as well.
Ben said that he had been out there a few times as well, but just based off of the look on his face, he never was all that excited to tell me that story at all as well. It kind of got me quite a bit nervous as well, as I was starting to think that maybe those cats were over exaggerating a little bit.
I felt like I could trust Ben a lot more than those other cats for sure. I blinked a few times, as I opened my eyes at the same time as well, as I then looked around me once again, at the two leg nest that I had been safe in, and I had lived in for my entire life, or back to the life that I could remember at the very least.
I could still be safe if I stayed here, and I was starting the question my head space, as I was not sure as to what was going on with me. I was thinking of the fact that it was a nice place to live, and not taking in the fact that it was also a dangerous place to live at the same time as well.
I would be a lot safer at this two leg place and a knew it. I felt like I had made up my mind at the same time too, as I nodded to my self, and then I then turned my head over to Ben, lifting it up as well, as I had my head down to the ground for quite a bit of some time too.
I saw Ben had his eyes squinted at me, as if he already knew what it was that I was about to say to him at the same time too. It got me quite a bit nervous as well, as I was not quite sure what was up with him. He had always told me not to go out in to the wild, as it was a very dangerous place.
Now all of the sudden how ever, it looked as if he had a change of heart, which did not make all that much sense to me at all. If he really thought that it was a dangerous place for a cat to live, and it was a lot safer for me to just live my life in a two leg nest, than why all of the sudden was he in such a rush to get me to leave?
I tilted my head, as I was quite a bit lost, as well as confused by the fact that I had not a clue as to what the cat was thinking, as he had always been a strange cat to me. Surely he did not want to throw me out there, in the hopes that I died, right? That did not make all that much sense to me, as I was not sure what good that would do him at all.
I shook my head at my self at the same time as well, as I breathed in heavily at the same time too. I knew that I had to be strong, and I also had to make the right, and the smart decision at the same time as well, in this current situation that I was in, at the exact moment in time as well.
I looked at Ben, as he was no longer looking at me with his eyes squinted, as he could tell that it was getting to my head a bit, and it was clear that it was not his intent. I let out a bit of a soft sigh, and then I nodded at my friend as well, as a few more moments had come to pass. After a little while longer too, I then saw Ben nod back to me, giving me the go ahead to begin to speak to him, which I did not hesitate at all to do either.
"Is it not safer for me to just live in this two leg nest? Even if it is a cool world out in the wild, is it really worth getting killed for it? I am not sure if this is a good idea Ben." I said to him. He seemed to just be staring at me with a bit of a blank look on his face for quite a bit of some time, until suddenly, he then went back to the same look that he had before, where he had his eyes squinted at me, as if I had been the one that was being suspicious.
I was not sure what was up with Ben, as I knew that he had always been a hard cat to read, due to the fact that he did not often show all that much emotion in the first place, but also the fact that he never told me very many stories about his life, besides the story about his mother, and the dream that she had, that had saved his life.
I blinked a few times, at the same time as well, as it all came back to be at once, like a cougar. The reason that all of this had even started in the first place, was due to the fact that I had told Ben about the dream that I had last night. I would have thought that he would have told me not to, due to the fact that I knew he did not have all that high regards for the wild either.
I had already been trying to look for an excuse to not do this, from the very beginning of this all, and when to my surprise, Ben had told me to do it, I was now making excuses to him, that it was a bad idea. It now began to make sense to me at the same time too, as to why Ben now had that look on his face in the first place.
I sighed a little bit, as I kept my eyes locked with Ben at the same time too, as it was clear to him that, he, had some how managed to prove his point, whilst not saying a single word to me at the same time as well. Ben was always a strange cat to me, as I always figured that he had some sort of strange power that he never told me about.
I rolled my eyes at the same time as well how ever, as I breathed in heavily, getting my thoughts back on to the presence as well, as I finally began to hear my friend Ben begin to speak to me. I blinked a few times, as well as I stared at my friend, as I listened to what it was that he had to say to me at the same time too.
"It never seizes to amaze me, how you always look for any kind of excuse to not do some thing that you have always wanted to do... Even ever since you were a young kit." He said, with a loud heavy sigh at the same time too, as I saw him roll his eyes at me as well, as if I were being an idiot, or perhaps a coward too.
But, what if he was right? What if I really was being a coward... He was at least right with what he had said to me on the fact that when I told him I had a dream, and a goal, that I would always look for some sort of dumb excuse, not to go after that dream, or the goal that I had always had.
I did my best not to stare down at the ground at the same time too, as there seemed to still be some part of me that was telling me 'no'. I wish that part of me would just go away, but I knew that it would always be stuck there with me, for what felt like could be the first of my life.
I shivered a little bit, as I still had my eyes locked with my friend for quite a bit of some time, as I could see that he still had his eyes squinted at me. It did not bother me any longer, as it was clear that he had proven his point to me, as I knew that he was in fact correct with what it was that he had said to me.
I looked back at him for a little bit longer as well, as this time I did not look around the two leg nest, as I nodded to him at the same time as well, as after a few more moments of him just keeping his eyes squinted back at me, he in fact did the same back to me. I let out a little bit of a sigh of relief, as I then began to respond to what it was that he had said to me just a few moments before now.
"You are right Ben... Lets go..." I said to him, as Ben still did not look all too sure with what it was that I had said to him, if I really meant what I had said to him at all, but how ever, after a little bit more time had passed, he did in fact let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh, as if it was now he, who did not want to go through with these plans.
This time, it was my turn to squint my eyes at him, as if he was acting a little bit suspicious to me, and he might have done some thing wrong. I stared at him, as if I expected it to get in to his head, kind of like he often did not me, but to no surprise at all to me, it did not seem to bother him, or to phase him at all either.
I shook my head, as I felt like a lot of that had to do with the fact that he had his head, and his eyes turned away from me right now, but I still felt like he knew what it was that I was doing, he just chose to ignore it. I dipped my head a little bit low to the ground, as I was not sure what to do.
I still had a part of me in my head that was telling me that this was a bad idea, and that I should just stay here, even if I was not sure if the two legs could handle me any longer, or if they even wanted me any more. I knew that if they took me to a shelter, I could get taken down by the mean two legs.
I shivered quite a bit, at the thought of that as well, as it made me feel quite a bit sick, that two legs would do that to a poor cat, even if I knew that a lot of the cats in those shelters, as I had been told, for crazy cats. I still felt like they did not deserve to get killed, or put down as a lot of the cats that had been there had told me it was called.
I shook my head, as I then lifted my head back up to Ben at the exact same time too, as I knew at this point that I was making the right call, as to the fact that I was going to go live out in the wild. He had told me that he was going to take me to a cat that would teach me how to hunt, and how to make it out there.
Ben was a great friend, that was for sure, as I smiled at him at the same time too, which I could tell, confused him quite a bit to my surprise, and also it surprised him a bit, as to why I was even so happy in the first place. The reason why I was so happy, was simply so to put... I was going out to do what I had always wanted to do.
Even if it did get me killed, I felt like me living in a two leg place was killing me mentally. I would rather go live out there, doing some thing that I had always wanted to do, rather than me living a long, and miserable life in a two leg nest. That just did not sound fun at all to me if you asked me.
I sighed a little bit, as I kept my eyes locked with Ben for a little bit of time, as I could tell that he was about to speak to me, but for some reason he was hesitating a bit. I nodded to him, in hopes that it might remind him of what it was that he was going to say to me in the first place.
He just kept his eyes stared in to mine, as it did not seem to help them all that much at all. After a few moments longer how ever, I saw him dip his head a little bit low to the ground, as he then began to speak back up to me at the exact same time as well. I blinked a few times, as I nodded to my self, and then I began to listen, to hear what it was that he had to say to me too.
"We can't get there in 1 night... I have a place that we can stay how ever... Just follow me... I know you will wont to look around... You can do that of course, but I don't want you to get lost..." He said to me. I looked at him for just a few moments, as it was quite a lot for me to take in all at once, but I just nodded, as if I was pretending that I had paid full attention to every word that he had just said to me.
I thought that he might read through me, such as he always did, and squint his eyes at me, as he could tell that I had not really been paying full attention to him, as I was a bit lost in my head, still a bit afraid if this was really a good idea or not, and if I really did want to do this.
I sighed a little bit, as thankfully once again, Ben had his head turned away from me. It gave me time to take one last look at the two leg nest that I had spent my entire life in. Yes... It would hurt me to leave this place, but I also felt at the same time as well, that I should not look back on it.
It was clear that these two legs did not care for me all that much, even if they did in fact give me food and water. I was about to go on a whole new adventure, and a whole new fun and exciting world was about to be in front of me. I was not sure what was going on with me, and why I was so sad to leave this place.
It then hit me as to why how ever, as I remember when I was much younger, when the young two leg used to come up to me and give me belly rubs. They felt so good... She used to care for me so much... Of course, used to was in the past tense now, as she hardly seemed to care about me at all any more.
Now, I could go in to a whole new world, and I could go see trees and rivers, and so many more fun things. There was no reason for me to be sad, or hurt by any of this, as I was starting to realize, as a bit of a strange smile then came up on my face at the same time as well.
I looked back to the other side of me, where Ben was still standing at, as I saw that he was looking at me with quite the confused look on his face. I could tell that he had not a clue as to what was going on with me, or what it was that I was thinking at all either, which was definitely a first.
Ben rolled his eyes at me at the same time too how ever, which confused me just a little bit. Ben let out quite a loud sigh at the exact same time as well, as he then began to speak up to me at the exact same time as well. I blinked a few times, as I then nodded to him, as I listened to what it was that he had to say to me too.
"Come on... We haven't got all day... At this rate we wont make it to my friends." He said to me. I looked at him for just a few moments as well, as I then nodded to him at the exact same time as well, as I realized too, that he was right, and it felt like we had just been sitting in this two leg room for nearly an entire day.
It was the longest conversation that we had with one another, ever. It made me feel a good at the same time too, as at first when he had told me about my parents, I had thought that he had only come to my place to make sure that I was okay, just as my parents had asked for him to do as well.
I now realized that it was not the case at all now, while it might have been at first, he truly did care for me. If he did not, than he would surely not be telling me that I should go out in to the wild, just as the dream had told me to. Not just that either, but he was going to help me, by taking me to a cat that knew how to hunt.
I smiled a little bit, as I finally nodded back to Ben, as I saw him then roll his eyes at me at the exact same time as well. I then blinked a few times, as I saw him beginning to walk over to my cat door too. I stared at him, with a blank look on the face of mine, as I watched him go through it, and out in to the wild.
I sighed a little bit, as I looked around at the room one last time, and then I shook my head, as I did the exact same thing that he had done, as I then walked out side of the two leg nest. It was as if I was expecting to already be out in to the wild at the same time as well, as soon as I was to walk out, as I shivered just a little bit.
I knew this was not the wild how ever, as I had been on my front porch plenty of times, and nothing crazy, nor scary had happened to me either. Unless you wanted to count the fact that there was a lot of yaps from several annoying dogs that lived around the area that I had grown up in.
I hated dogs, as I shook those thoughts off at the same time too. I was not so sure as to why I was just considering the fact that the wild was scary, as I also knew that it was a beautiful place to be, and a beautiful place to look at, at the exact same time as well.
I should have my eyes open, and ready for all of this, as I walked out of the cat door with a big smile on my face too. At first, as soon as I had gone out, it took my eyes quite a bit of time to get used to the fact that it was so bright, as the sun seemed to be staring directly in to my eyes right now.
After a few more moments how ever, as my eyes got used to the bright light too, I then began to look around me, as I was a little bit disappointed as to what it was that I saw. It was all so ugly, and it smelt so nasty as well... Why would any cat ever want to live in a place such as this one?
I blinked a few times as well, as I also knew that I should not be saying that to my self either, as I had just been telling my self, not too long before all of this, that I wanted to stay here, and live here too, simply due to the fact that it was more safe than going out to live in the wild.
I almost wanted to laugh at my self, but I stopped my self from doing so, as I let out quite the loud sigh, as I nodded to my self at the same time too, as I then looked at my friend Ben, who I could see had his eyes locked on me, as it was clear that he was waiting to see my reaction on all of this.
I shook my head, as it was nasty, and it was for sure the worst place in the world to be at. I could not wait to smell what it was like, once I was out in the wild. How long would that be how ever? I was not sure the answer to that question, as I knew that there was going to have to be a lot of things that I must learn first.
I looked right back at Ben, for the shortest amount of time, as I saw that he still had his eyes squinted at me for some time, such as he had earlier. I was not sure what was up with him at all this time how ever, as it was clear to me at the very least, that I was waiting for him to go.
I squinted my eyes right back at him for a little while longer as well, as now it really did feel like we were wasting time, as it felt like he was the one having second thoughts this time. I blinked just a couple of times at him, as I then shook my head at the same time as well, as I then began to speak up to get his attention back on to the present.
"Are we just going to sit here? Lets go..."
