Lauren ran, pacing through the hallways of her family's beach house rushing outside where her tote bag was suppose to be thankfully it still was. It's 5:30 am and she was suppose to sleep at the safehouse because in 2 hours chief was going to wake everyone up to start the day. She has gotten herself so caught up with Camila and their amazing night that she didn't set an alarm. She also couldn't take the rental car because Camila would be stranded at the house and she doubt Dinah would pick her up. And on top of that, uber drivers don't usually have schedules but nobody is fucking driving this early in the morning for a couple of bucks. Most of them start around 6:30. An hour from now and a hour too close to get to the house. 'Why did it have to be me?' Lauren stressed out
She poured out all the clothes onto the living room floor just to find out they are fucking wet from the waves. They landed with a 'splat' sound from the water they had soaked up. "Are you fucking serious?" Lauren picked them up, sniffing them, "Ew.." Lauren grimaced. They smelled like straight seaweed and salt water. Praise the Lord that the beach house had a washer and dryer. She doesn't know who ever used it last or if it still works, but it's worth a try.
5:50 am
Miami, Florida
Jauregui Beach HouseLauren quickly checked to see if her work clothes were dried. They weren't completely dry which honestly at this point it didn't matter. She's been running throughout the house with a sports bra on along with the same boxers from yesterday. She had already checked all the clothes that are left in some closets of the rooms and they definitely didn't fit her or close to what she had to wear. "Fuck it, you only live once." Lauren mumbled ruffling the shirt over her head wearing it completely. She hated the damp feeling but it doesn't really matter how she feels right now.
She didn't have like any equipment or her police belt which she cursed herself from not remembering. If Camila hadn't pushed her to hurry up down to the lobby she would of remember. Lauren never wants to be mad at her but this is obviously Camila's fault. She only hoped there where spares in the house.
Lauren was beyond stressed. And what set her temper off the last straw was her Doc marten boot zipper breaking. It was such a little thing but she's already been through hell and back this morning. Out of anger and distress Laruren chucked the boot into the wall with force. It even shook the the lightbulbs dangling from the kitchen island.
Camila scrawled awake hearing a loud 'bang.' She allowed her eyes to focus on the alarm clock by the bed. "5:55 am? What the hell?" She had noticed Lauren was missing from the side of her and cautiously got up making her way down the stairs. She stopped when she saw her girlfriend. "Lauren?"
"Please leave me the fuck alone." Lauren spat towards her.
The words stung hard but she brushed it off, "That's a clever way to say good morning." Camila replied with a straight face. She wasn't always the one to mess around with when her sleep was disrupted.
"Camila I'm being fucking serious leave me alone. Now Go back to sleep." Lauren gritted her teeth.
"What is your problem Lauren?" Camila had been asleep the whole time and all of a sudden her girlfriend was yelling at her for simply checking up on the ruckus.
"You Camila. You're the problem. I was suppose to leave from here by 12 last night instead the you distracted me. Not only in that but now I don't have my equipment or belt you know why? Because you distracted me and uber drivers don't drive this early and get here in time."
"There's a fully functionally car right outside on the driveway. Did you forget?" Camila replied annoyed.
"Your not getting this aren't you?." Lauren bitterly laughed. "Camz your starting to be a distraction towards me involving with my work. And I didn't want to leave with the car, because you know, I was being thoughtful so you can get back to the hotel?" Lauren replied harshly.
