Lauren shivered as a snowstorm hit hard about and hour before she reached Target.

It was two days before Christmas and Lauren was secretly invited over to see Christian since the incident. Apparently he's been begging to see Lauren's considering she "saved him". Lauren was just completing her job duties but 5 year old pleaded on.

"Hey, excuse me? Do you know like...a good gift for a 5 year old boy who likes.." Lauren thought for a second. "Transformers and Elephants?"

The employee flashed a concerning look, "I'd look in the back left around isle 13. For things like stuffed animals is going to be the next one."

Lauren thanked him before reluctantly making her way to the stuff animal isle first. She froze when she saw Melissa there. "Mel?"

The woman looked up, subconsciously covering her small baby bump. It wasn't noticeable she prayed. "Lauren? Wha- what are you doing here on...on Christmas week?"She felt stupid asking such a rubbish question.

"I gonna get some toys, for a little child actually. What about you?" Lauren bit her lip at the heavy tension that arose.

"Oh- um same." The Persian woman thought of something, "I well...I'm looking at toys for a future child."

Lauren flashed her brows. "Oh? That's cool honestly...is it a boy or a girl?"  She attempted to engage more talking.

"I actually don't know yet....hopefully I know 3 or 4 weeks."

Lauren frowned thinking for a second. "Oh...well I hope your friend's baby is healthy....well" Lauren swiftly grabbed a tiger from the shelf. "I gotta- gotta go."

The police officer wanted to ask about the diner and the sudden rush. But maybe it was an issue that she solved? Guessing wouldn't help with very little clues so Lauren got box of transformer lego set along with some star wars action figures. She could recalled when she was once young loving the whole star wars franchise. She also got a new Iphone to peruse her plan for later on. Quickly paying, Lauren made her way to the house address she was given. Knocking on the door 3 times, She lingered for a bit.

"Miss Police officer!" Christian squealed opening the screen protector before the main door. "I miss' you so much!" He outstretched his arms for her to pick him up.

"Oh hey buddy!" She smiled, caressing his back. "Gosh you've gotten heavier and I saw you just last week!" Lauren joked as he wanting to go down.

Looking up, "That's because grandma is feeding me! And I get to have food finally!"

"Oh-" Lauren froze up in shock.

Christian yanked onto her arm. "Come on miss police officer! I have to show you my new presents!"

Lauren was still left stunned at the child's dark words and quickness. She hoped that moving in with his grandma would make his life better. "Okay, let's go."

Lauren walked behind the small boy so he can lead the way, as she enter the house she was greeted by his Grandma and Grandpa, "Hey Christians grandparents...very sorry abou-"

His grandma protested, "Oh don't apologize about it. You're okay Lauren....We've known about Chrissy and her relationship with Nolan. We tried to help her out of it but her excuse was Christian needs a father....what's sad is now he's doesn't have both. And we're getting older and older everyday."
