Marcus and I made our way to the cafeteria for lunch after our unpleasant conversation with Willie in the hallway. I was still pissed, and you could clearly tell. Marcus on the other hand either didn't care anymore or was really good at acting like he didn't give a shit. We got in line and picked up our trays.
"Aren't you mad at that asshole? He's supposed to be your friend." I said out of nowhere.
"It's fine, Em. I'll talk to him later." He assured me.
"That doesn't give him the right to be a dick. You know, I don't care who he is. He could be a Rat or the highest rank in the Legacy class, and I wouldn't care. None of that shit gives him the right to talk to us like that, especially after you saved his life. That pacifist asshole thinks he's all that because of his tough bitch act, but I swear the second I say something about who he really is he'll get shit on by everyone that knows who he is. As a matter of fact, next time I see him, I'm beating the shit out of him." I spoke angrily as we went through the lunch line getting our lunch.
"Emma, it's fine. I'll handle it. I promise. Don't go and beat the living crap out of him, though. Knowing both of you, that's an unfair game on his part." He said with a slight smile at the end.
"Shut up, Arguello." I said with a smile, getting out of line with him and going to sit at our table.
"So are we gonna talk about Denke's bullshit pep talk?" I asked as we sat down.
"Not much to talk about. It was exactly that, bullshit. We just gotta keep surviving this shit-show of a school as far as I'm concerned." He said.
"Heads up, Petra's going to the Legacy dance with Viktor." Lex said as he sat down with his tray in hand.
"No shit?" Marcus asked in shock.
"No shit." Billy said sitting down too.
"Come on, don't give the girl a hard time, assholes. He could be really good for her." I said.
The guys all looked at each other and started laughing.
"Viktor? Good? You're joking!" Billy said still laughing.
"Shut it, she's coming." I said referring to Petra.
She came and sat down with us. That was the boy's cue to tease her, I guess.
"You're gonna give me a lecture on punk cred?" Petra asked sitting down.
"Oh, not at all. Hell, I'd give Viktor a firm hand job to get out of this jive-ass hazing." Marcus said making a hand job gesture making me roll my eyes.
"Oh yeah? I bet you'd be good at those. You know, because Emma gives them to you so much." Petra teased.
"Aye! I'm the only one at this table who hasn't given you shit for going to that stupid dance with Viktor, so if I were you I'd keep it that way. Trust me, I have a lot of things to say." I said rudely.
Petra rolled her eyes but didn't comeback at me for the remark.
"I mean, a hand job from you doesn't sound too bad, baby." Marcus said as he looked down at his food.
"If you ask then it's never gonna happen, Arguello." I said with a sarcastic smile.
"Wait, dude, you giving out hand jobs?" Billy asked me.
"No I'm no-" I said before Lex cut me off.
"You might be quieter about it, Em, but your judging her, too. I'm very intuitive." Lex said.
I flicked him off as I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Relax, the only one getting hand jobs from Emma here is me." Marcus said in a cocky way.
