After countless relentless complaints coming from me, everyone decided to head up to the hotel room we'd booked. I guessed it was just because I was getting on everyone's nerves and they decided this was the only way to shut me up. They were right. There was no surprise there. Though, the fact that our hotel room took so long to find didn't help my shitty attitude.

"Ah, here it is." Billy said as he came across our room and searched all this pockets for the key card he'd been given earlier.

"Emma!" Marcus yelled from right behind me.

His high ass had been following me around since we got here. Normally it wouldn't piss me off, but it did now. His stupid hallucinations and dumbass remarks only made my headache worse.

"I'm right fucking here, Marcus." I said through gritted teeth.

"Got it." Billy said finally opening the door.

We hadn't been to many hotels in our lives. You couldn't blame us for not knowing the correct way to open a hotel door with a key card.

Once the door opened fully all of us poured into the room. I immediately threw myself onto the nearest bed face-first, not having the energy to deal with the high teenagers in the room nor myself. Saya grabbed Marcus's arm since he was about to follow me onto the same bed and flop on top of me. That wouldn't end well for him if I was grumpy. She guided him towards the next bed and sat him there facing the tv. Maria, Billy, and Willie did their own things, looking around the hotel room to see what they could take. We were criminals after all.

"It's okay, Marcus. Everything's gonna be okay." Saya said rubbing his back as he looked around wide-eyed.

"What if it- what if it never ends?" He asked.

"Trust me, it will. The second it does you'll regret ever taking that stupid fucking acid." I said speaking from experience, making Marcus and Saya look at me.

Saya rolled her eyes at my annoyed self and turned back to Marcus.

"I'm gonna take care of you." Saya comforted.

"I need Emma." He mumbled.

I'd be lying if I said his stupid high comment didn't give me butterflies, even with this hangover headache that was only in the process of getting worse. I didn't let my smile show, though. I kept it hidden with my face buried in the mattress.

"You might wanna leave Emma alone. She might kill you if you touch her." Saya warned him with a pat on the back.

"No- no- Emma..." He slurred his words.

"Why don't I put on some tv. You can watch that and maybe not sign your own death certificate by talking to her." Saya suggested gently like she was talking to a child as she got up and turned the tv on.

As soon as the tv switched on it played some sci-fi movie that would no doubt keep Marcus distracted. Even sober Marcus would be distracted by that. A couple minutes passed by before anyone spoke to me again.

"Em." Saya called out making me lift my head to look at her.

"Willie, Maria, and I are gonna go get snacks and shit from the am/pm. You want anything?" She asked.

"Pack of Marlboros and a bag of Doritos." I said as I let my head fall back into the mattress, my words muffled by it.

"Got it. Billy went to get ice or some shit so you'll have to watch Marcus. You'll be good?" She asked.

I gave her a thumbs-up instead of replying. With that, I heard the door open and close a few seconds after.

"Emma." Marcus mumbled.
