Chapter 7

(Scientist went to the Plant base and told Sunflower the bad news. She knew this would happen if Dr. Zomboss wants to take over the world. Green Shadow, Nightcap and Grass Knuckles couldn't find The Smash from the Backyard battleground so they head back. Meanwhile, Spudow found something...scary. What could it be? Also, Spudow's going to be turned into his evil self in the next chapter! An evil threat is approaching...)

Scientist's POV

I quickly head over to the Plant base. I knew the mad doctor would do something like that! As I got here, I knock on the door. A hungry Fire Chomper was here, licking his teeth.

"Hi. Would you like to be my food?" He asked me. I take a step back away from him. The Fire Chomper laughed heartly as he chuckled. "I'm just messing with you. I already have some hot dogs." He pulled out a stick of hot dogs on it. He ate them whole and burp right at my face. I swat that stinky smell away. Ugh... disgusting.

"Now, what brings you here?" Fire Chomper asked me. "I need to see Sunflower. Is she here?" Fire Chomper smiled at me. "Sure. She's right inside the tree. You won't miss it."

"Thanks Fire Chomper." I give him a pat on the head as I feel the heat on my gloves. "You're welcome!" He licked me before heading off. The Plant base is so green and full of life. I could just live in here. But I can't because I'm a zombie.

Inside the tree was a bunch of collectibles and so forth. There was a Sunflower Plant Hero here, looking at her Heal Flower. I walk to her and said. "Excuse me, Sunflower?" Sunflower turn to me and she didn't even flinch. She smiled at me, cutely. "Scientist!" She hugged me gently. I smile at her while I hug her back.

"What's brings you here to the Plant base?" Sunflower asked me. I can feel sweat roll down on my head. My hands were trembling with nervous. "What's wrong, Scientist? It looked like you seen a Ghost Pepper." She look up at me. I gather up my courage and told her the bad news.

"Sunflower, we got a big problem. Dr. Zomboss is planning something big and probably more terrible than that Zombot." I explained to her. Sunflower kept listening. "I feared that he's going to..." I paused my sentence and look down. Tears began to form in my eyes.

Sunflower notice my reaction and pat me on the shoulder. "He wants to destroy us?" I slowly nod my head. She must be sad, very sad. "I know that he always wants to take over the world, but I think you should tell him to be friends with Crazy Dave."

"What?" I said in confusion. "I can't do that! What if I screw this up? What if he says no? What if... he punishes me for that...?" Panic ran to me. I can easily get in trouble by my leader if I said that. That would be horrifying.

I feel a petal hand on my face as I look at Sunflower. "It's going to be okay. I asked Crazy Dave and said that he can be friends with Dr. Zomboss." She said, feeling all warm inside her. "They'll work it out." "I hope so." I let out a sigh. I hope they'll understand how it is to be best friends.

Rustbolt's POV

I was flying around the Zombie base, getting a view from above.

Things went crazy out here last night. Dr. Zomboss was laughing evily. The Professor was thinking about something. Immorticia and Chompzilla was talking about how their day was. I don't know why Chompzilla wants to talk to us, zombies. I, myself have been through some situations lately.

As I land on top of the building to see up close, I see three Plant Heroes walking around the Backyard battleground. It was Nightcap, Grass Knuckles and Green Shadow. They seem to be looking for something or someone. Thinking that I made my mind, I got off and landed right in front of them. The three were shocked.
