Leah's like a tornado when she flies into the room, ignoring Seth's greeting as she makes her way over to the bathroom door.

"He's talking to the-" Quil begins hurriedly, only to be cut off abruptly by her breaking the doorknob. Everyone seems to stand at attention after that. Seth hops up from the desk to follow her.

"Shit, Jake." He hisses once he gets into the bathroom.

He's laying there on the floor with his phone next to his ear, but he's completely out and unresponsive when Seth shakes him. He scoops him up and carries him back over to the bed, carefully laying him next to Quil.

"He's not waking up." Leah says, into Jacob's phone.

Quil and Mike look at one another, both paling.

Edward's barging into Jacob's house. He'd been promising himself all day that he'd 'lose' the little scrap of paper and pretend like the entire exchange with Newton never even happened. Eventually, it'd just die down and the speculation would stop. Yet, here he is, hopping into his car and tossing his medical bag into the passenger's seat. He peels out of his driveway and prays no one tries stopping him or he might have to kill someone tonight.

He's there in about fifteen minutes and it's not until he's standing in front of Black's house that it dawns on him what he's doing. Before, he can think himself into a different plan someone, who he presumes to be Leah, throws open the door and gestures for him to come in.

He follows her upstairs and into a side bedroom. Then, Edward's staring at a couple of familiar faces.

"Come on out, boys. He needs to look him over." Leah calls softly. Something tells Edward that this wasn't her usual way of speaking, but it gets the job done as Quil and Officer Newton file out of the room.

"If he'd just listen to us, this wouldn't be happening." Quil pouts from a corner on the couch. Embry comes over and places a bowl of fruit in front of him, urging him to eat.

"Sometimes it takes time for people to figure that stuff out." Leah tells him pointedly looking between him and Embry.

Quil shoves a strawberry in his mouth.

"Yeah, but for someone to be that deep in denial that he starts having symptoms of withdrawal..." Embry jumps in.

"He doesn't even know that he's imprinted, that's how out of it he is." Seth sighs out.

Mike had left as soon as the doctor showed up, mumbling something about Eric, but Quil could see how worried he looked.

They were all worried.

"He's just being stubborn." Quil huffs out. "He's not that stupid."

"Well, maybe some contact will open his eyes." Is all Leah says before heading into the kitchen.

Jacob's passed out. It's as simple and yet as complicated as that.

He tries to rouse the man as gently as he can, continuously pushing at his shoulder until eventually Jacob came to. He needed to check him for a concussion amongst other things.

"Hey." Edward says casually while shining a light directly into Jacob's eyes.

"Hi." Jacob says with a sigh, moving his eyes wherever Edward's fingers moved.

"You wanna tell me what's going on?" He asks, flicking off the light. No concussion.

"I don't know. You're the doctor." Jacob mumbles confused.

"Yes, yes I am, but I haven't been monitoring you for the past two weeks so I'm going to need you to tell me." Edward informs him, trying not to smile at the man's confusion.
