Campus Mystery [ LuMark FF ]

Chapter 16

Lucas waited for Mark as he had called him over, he sounded as though there was some emergency, so he had left the practice as soon as he could. He patiently waited for Mark as every passing minute seemed like a decade. As Lucas patiently waited, the door knob of the main room made twisting noise, just to make sure it was Mark, he called his name " Mark ? " from the other side of the door a humming sound came followed by the voice " Yes it's me " he said opening the door and closing the door behind as soon as he got in.

Placing his bag down Lucas sat on the couch waiting for Mark, he was not sure what to expect this time since with the case in their hand nothing was really sure what would happen next. He patiently waited for Mark to sit down and to clam and feel relaxed, before he started with his day and his findings. Luca stretched his hand and rubbed the back of his hand, the simple contact by Lucas's hands made Mark smile at him, Lucas smiled back " What is it ? " he asked , Mark became serious, he took his phone out and showed him the picture that he took.

Lucas took the phone from Mark to inspect it closely, one look at the picture and he immediately knew what it was " This is... " Mark nodded " The packet which is used to transport drug " Lucas made a curious face " Where did you get this from ? " Mark sighed resting his head on the cushions of the couch as he felt tired. " I was checking my class schedule and I saw Johnny hyung, he said his professor had asked him to deliver these empty packets to the dean himself " he said looking at Lucas.

Lucas looked confused " Did Johnny catch you taking a picture ? " he asked, trying to make sure Mark won't be affected by any of these. Mark shook his head " I had asked him to buy me a water bottle " Lucas nodded as Mark rubbed his shoulder " What are you thinking about ? " Mark questioned in a low voice, Lucas hummed " What we thought turned out to be true, that means... " he stated as Mark nodded, continuing what he said " We have to be extra careful of what we are doing here " Lucas nodded once again, wrapping his arms around Mark's waist.

" Should we tell this to Detective Lee ? " Mark questioned, Lucas shook his head. '' I think we should wait some more to see if we get any other clues " Mark nodded agreeing with Lucas " But how can we get more clues? If only there were any other parties in the campus we might find some clues that may be useful for us " just as he said Mark's phone pinged with a new message , he took his phone from Lucas and looked at who had sent the message " Jungwoo hyung ? " he said looking at the ID " What is it ? " Lucas asked curiously, Mark smiled showing Lucas the phone " Guess we have a party to attend " Lucas grinned as Mark nodded feeling victorious .

At the party ...

" Hyung I'm here, where are you ? " Mark was on the phone call with Jungwoo, both Mark and Lucas had decided to show up at the party together since they figured they might find some useful clues. After a minute or so Jungwoo came out with a huge smile on his face and hugged Mark, but kept hugging Lucas " umm.... " Lucas said feeling slightly uncomfortable, Mark pulled Jungwoo away from Lucas " You are still the same hyung " he said hitting the side of his arm, Jungwoo laughed " I know right, come on, let us go " he said walking inside the building.

" Hyung why didn't anyone talk about this party in the campus " Mark asked not knowing why party thrown by such famous people in the campus was not known by anyone, Jungwoo hummed " That's because this is only for closed circle of friends " Lucas and Mark exchanged looks, it was as though the party had some ulterior motive to it that it had to be kept secret. Jungwoo laughed wrapping his hands around Mark's arms " Are you really dating him ? " he asked looking at Lucas, Mark looked at Lucas and then looked back at Jungwoo " Why do you ask hyung ? " he wasn't sure why Jungwoo had asked the question, hence he decided to make it clear before he could say anything.

Jungwoo pouted a bit " It's just you are more of the type to fall for bad boy vibes, this one.... " he said once again looking at Lucas " This is one is hot that's something I can't deny, but he sure is not a bad boy " Mark rolled his eyes, he knew who Jungwoo was talking about and moreover he was over him that he was not ready to talk about his ex anymore " I guess I'm over bad boys " he said looking straight ahead " And moreover ... " he started while tightening his grips around Lucas's hand " I like Lucas very much " he said looking at him with a small smile growing on both the men's lips. Jungwoo smiled " Well ~ I'm happy if you are happy " he said winking at him. Mark smiled awkwardly and as soon as they entered the place, Mark gestured Lucas to keep an eye on their surroundings while he carefully had a talk with Jungwoo so as to not stir any suspicion.

Lucas nodded his head as he looked around acting as though he was sight seeing the place. " Cool hang out you have here hyung " Lucas said looking at those abstract looking modern paintings. Jungwoo smiled looking at Lucas " This is not actually mine, a friend of ours, even ... " he started as he looked away from Lucas. Jungwoo smirked as he looked straight ahead " Even Mark knows him ". As soon as Jungwoo had said it, Mark scrunched his eyebrows trying to figure out whose place did this belong to. He was trying to figure out, but he didn't quite know who it might have been. Since his old circle of friends were quite big and everyone was pretty rich, he didn't know about who in particular the place might belong to.

Lucas held Mark's hand tightly and smiled as though through his eyes he tried to convey ' It's alright, let us figure out together  and Mark who immediately understood him smiled, Jungwoo who saw the two smiled " Seems like you guys like each other more than you show outside " he said to the obvious unsaid amount of romantic interest between Mark and Lucas. Mark blushed a crimson and Lucas ruffled his hair smiling trying to hide his blush. Jungwoo laughed as his attention was diverted by someone calling him " Jungwoo ! " someone called him, Jungwoo looked at the person and then looked back at Mark " I'll be back, you can look around till then, enjoy "

Mark nodded with a smile but as soon as Jungwoo left the place Lucas and Mark began to search for any potential clues. Just as they were looking for the clues, Lucas called Mark over to show him a room which was draped with black curtains. It looked dramatic for a party atmosphere, but for obvious reasons Mark and Lucas decided to check out the room. As soon as they entered the room Mark noticed that big symbol graffitied over the wall.

" Mark, do you see that ? " asked Lucas, not sure if what he saw was actually what he thought, Mark nodded " I think we should leave the place " Lucas looked at Mark confused, " Why ? " Lucas asked, still not sure why Mark was trying to abort the mission, Mark raised his finger and pointed to the wall beside the graffiti, Lucas looked at the direction to which Mark pointed and his eyes froze in shock " Is that ... " Mark nodded once again " Yes that's Johnny hyung and Jungwoo hyung " Lucas grabbed Mark's hand and they decided to silently slip out of the place. As soon as they came out, Mark looked at Lucas " What should we do next ? " Mark questioned, as him and Lucas still tried to process the fact that Johnny might be one of the potential suspects too.
