Campus Mystery [ LuMark FF ]

Chapter 2

As usual Mark parked his Maserati in the usual parking spot, but there wasn't any blood. He took his books out and closed the car door, looking around he walked towards the building. It was his morning class for Business Ethics. He sighed walking inside the class and found a few students have turned up. It was a boring class and not many students would take this class, since it was an easy scoring subject mark decided to take it up. The professor entered the room, while asking the students to take their seats. " Everyone please be seated " Mark took his pens and was ready to listen to his class. The class was boring as usual, but he had no choice but to listen. 

After the class.....

Mark had another class he walked towards the other building, while deciding to stop at the local cafeteria to get some water.

Lucas had his morning practice session of basketball, though he was playing, his thoughts were stuck somewhere else. But since he was the captain, he just asked others to practice while he sat down on the bench trying to catch his breath. He looked at his phone and saw the time, the session was almost time to end. He had his morning English classes after this, but before that he had to hit the gym to take shower. He signaled his team mates to come near him.

" That's it for today guys, I'll meet you in evening, make sure to take bath " He took his bag and walked towards the gym, he used his regular stall to take bath. In no time he had finished taking bath, wearing his white shirt, which was almost visible of his abs and body, paring it with a blue jean, he walked towards the cafeteria to get something decent to eat. That's when he spotted Mark at the cafeteria getting water. Lucas smirked taking his sandwich with and running towards mark. 

It was as though Mark's spider senses tingled, he instantly turned back and saw Lucas running towards him, Mark rolled his eyes and walked back to his class. Finally Lucas caught up with Mark stopping him by holding his shoulder, Mark turned around glaring at Lucas. Lucas smiled and began to talk while his hands still rested on Mark's shoulders. " Yo what's up!?  "

Mark rolled his eyes and still continued glare at Lucas while signaling that Lucas's hand was still on his shoulder, Lucas looked at Mark's gesture and retracted his hand back with a dumb smile.  " I have a class, I have to go " Mark walked back while Lucas ran and stood in front of him. " Listen, did you think about it?  " Lucas asked adjusting his bag, Mark sighed  " Need more time " Lucas sighed" Well hurry up, I'm getting clues everyday and I need a partner "

Lucas sighed, since Mark wasn't making up his mind. " What clue?  " Mark asked finally getting interested in what Lucas had to say. "I was taking a bath this morning in the shower and I discovered something, well I heard what some guys were talking "  Lucas leaned against Mark almost whispering the words to him. Mark moved back a little.  " What did you hear?  "
Mark asked curiously " Well...... I still need an answer! " Lucas laughed walking away from Mark, while he winked turning back. Mark sighed and rolled back his eyes walking towards his class.

Though it was hard to say yes, Lucas seemed useful when it came to getting clues, while he still didn't have any. His thoughts weren't exactly on the way he was walking, he was brought back to his present sense when he hit a wall. " What the hell! Ouch!  " Mark screamed looking around, he didn't exactly to his classroom, he had walked to the back stairs, which no one used, except lovers who needed some privacy. " Damn I need to stop day dreaming " He looked around and sighed walking back, but that's when he heard some voice and he his under the staircase.  

" I have 20 bucks with me, what about you? " Two guys walking down the staircase were talking, Mark was hearing what they were talking since it wasn't any professors, he decided to walk back. " I don't think we'll be able to afford the drugs for tonight's party!  "As soon as Mark heard drugs he stopped in his tracks and hid back the staircase. " Man I'm pissed " 

One of the two was really pissed and they both left the place. Mark slowly came out of his hiding and walked back to his classroom. He was shocked to hear the drugs were begin used inside his campus when his university had such a good name and was known for their excellent student discipline. He went back straight to his classroom, but all that stuck his mind was the piece of information that he got and how much it shocked him that he didn't know about it all this time." Damn it!  " He excused himself to the professor and ran to the basketball court.  " Hey! Excuse me where can I find Lucas? " Mark asked one of the boys in the court.

" umm.....  I think it's his marketing class now " The boy thought over it but not sure where Lucas would be.  Mark thanked him and walked to the marketing class. He was not sure if Lucas knew about it or Lucas knew more then him. Either way he felt like he had to share the news with him. 

Lucas on the other hand was half asleep in his class, it was boring as usual and he didn't understand a bit, he didn't much worry about it since he could borrow notes at the last moment and pass the exams.  Lucas was looking straight on the board that's when he saw Mark pass by. Lucas's face immediately brightens up and he excused himself to the professor, running to Mark. He called Mark's name, but he couldn't hear him.  Seems like Mark was walking towards the lockers, Lucas ran after him, pushing him against the lockers. Eyes locking with Mark, Lucas smiled and then smirked while Mark was still shocked with the impact of the push. 

" You came to see me right?  " Lucas leaned down to Mark almost his breath hitting Mark's cheeks instantly. Mark pushed Lucas away and ruffling his own hair.  " Yeah! Yes I did " Lucas looked at him and smiled " Go ahead " Mark sighed and looked at Lucas.  " I was walking at the back staircase and...."

" Why were you there? Are you hooking up with someone?  " Lucas asked crossing his arms Mark looked at him confused and then scoffed  " What I do is none of your business, anyway I was thinking something and didn't know I had walked over there. But that's when I heard two guys talk about a party tonight and drugs they had to buy for it " Mark looked around to see anyone was around them " So you heard about the party as well?!  " Lucas stood straight and paced back and forth Mark. 

" You knew about it as well? " Mark asked being curious, Lucas hummed and responded back.  " Yeah I knew in fact, the first thing I found was about drugs and second one was the party " " Then what are we waiting for, Lets report this! " Mark replied.  While Lucas nodded his head.  " To whom? To Mr. Kim our Dean? I don't think it's useful. We don't have any clues and proofs that this incidents are connected to the drugs  and besides I feel as though the Dean maybe involved with it " Mark nodded his head agreeing to the point what Lucas had put forth. 

" While some place needs brute force other places need good partner and some money to bring the truth " Lucas added on.  Mark looked back at Lucas and answered back.  " I'll join!  " Lucas looked at him confused but then understood what mark said,  finally Lucas smiled. " Great decision "Lucas leaned against Mark almost inches away from Mark's face, as Mark held his breath, Lucas smirked.  " You won't regret working with me ~"
