Campus Mystery [ LuMark FF ]

Chapter 4

The next day Lucas had come to his basketball field a little earlier then usual time, he had match soon, so he needed to practice more, being the team captain he needed more practice then anyone on his team.

After a couple of shoots at the hoop, he sat down at the bench and watched his teammates play, all of a sudden memoires of his best friend had rushed over him, the way they would come up earlier to play, how they would sneak out at night and how they would stand there for each other no matter what. He thought about it as he felt heavy on his heart.
He got up from the bench and joined his teammates for a game.

After what seemed like an hour he waved everyone goodbye as he hit the stall to take a bath. All of a sudden Lucas smiled thinking of what had Mark did the day before, as they ran Lucas turned around to see Mark blushing, but he teased him by asking him with he had a fever. He laughed in his thought and shook his head as he finished taking a bath. He wore his black T-shirt along with his blue denim jacket and a blue ripped jeans. He took his bag and stepped out of the gym to get some books from his locker.

Usually Mark had his car to the university, but not today, the morning he woke up late and got ready in a hurry only to see his car had a flat tire, he couldn't call mechanic since it would get late even more. He decided to walk to his university. He remembered that he had to visit a guy about the card duplication and he needed to remind Lucas about it. He didn't have his number, since the last time Lucas had called him, he didn't save his numbers in the contacts. He walked a little faster seeing it would be late if he walked slow.

Mark knew Lucas would be in and around the gym or his locker. To be decided to search at the gym first, after a few minutes mark decided to search at the locker. He found Lucas looking for his books and Mark walked to him.

Lucas..
Mark called him by his name and Lucas immediately sprinted around.

Hey tiny bean how are you?
Lucas laughed as he called him by that name.
Mark slapped lucas's arm and made a poker face.

Fine, fine, what's up?
Lucas asked adjusting his bag on his shoulder.

Mark looked around and then talked to Lucas, he wanted to be careful of this stuff
We have to meet the guy today.

Oh I remember, you could have called me about it, why walk to me and waste your time.
Lucas said as he closed his locker

Mark coughed a bit before he spoke
I.... umm...... I didn't save your number to the contact.

Lucas laughed as he stretched his hand, Mark have Lucas his phone, Lucas took the phone and third in the number, saving it he gave it back to Mark while winking at Mark he left to his class. Mark looked at the phone only to understand what the wink meant.

Aii asshole, why did you save your name as " My Alpha "
Mark shouted again only to realise everyone were looking at him, he kept the phone in his pocket and went to his classroom.

The time was 1 already and Mark walked out of his classroom to get some lunch, it had slipped his mind that he had to meet the guy from the computer department for the duplication of the card.

Lucas who had just finished the class betting geeky Mark would have forgotten about the meeting, he took his bag and walked to the canteen hoping Mark would be there. And there he was sitting on the bench, alone and eating his sandwich. Lucas laughed since his prediction have come true, with a smirk in his face he walked towards Mark.

You forgot!
Lucas sat beside Mark resting his head on Mark's shoulder.

Mark was starled and pushed Lucas away, he laughed as he saw how shocked Mark locked.

What the hell?!

Oh did I scare you?
Lucas laughed looking at Mark's expression.

Mark then remembered what they were supposed to do, he got up coughing and walking past Lucas, Lucas laughs and continues to walk along Mark.

They walked through the corridors of the visual and communication buliding, they were a familiar path to Mark, since a lot has happened since the last time he had come over there. Since it was an awkward silence, Lucas decided to chat a little.

So..... How do you know the guy?

Mark looked at Lucas and sighed a bit.
He's a mutual friend.

Lucas was now curious and began to question more.
Mutual of......

Mark rolled his eyes and walked fast, with a cold tone he replied back.
That's none of your business.

Lucas shrugged his shoulder and quietly walked a few steps behind Mark.

After a few minutes thwy had reached the faculty buliding, Mark over to a guy who was busy working in his computer.

Johnny hyung! How are you doing?
Mark smiled pating his back to his attention.

Johnny looked up from his computer and smiled seeing Mark.

Markie ~ I'm doing good, How are you ?

Mark smiled before answering.
I'm doing good as well.

Johnny looked at Lucas and then at Mark, Mark knew what it meant and he introduced them to each other.

Hyung this is Lucas and Lucas this is Johnny hyung!
Mark looked back at Johnny to talk about what he came there for.

Hyung I need your help!

Okay, what is it?
Johnny asked being curious.

Lucas smiled as he talked to Johnny.
Hyung the thing is....

Lucas explained what happened with the card and the need to duplicate, leaving out the real reason behind it. Johnny listened to it carefully and agreed to help.

Fine I'll do it, but I need a day's time, be here tomorrow at the same time.

Mark and Lucas thanked Johnny, they walked back to their faculty building.

Lucas felt guilty for pissing off Mark earlier by asking him a personal question.

Listen.... umm.....

Suddenly Mark heard some familiar voice and pulled Lucas behind the lockers, shutting Lucas's mouth with his hand Mark looked out for a watch out, Lucas who stood there silent felt as though his face heat up, he didn't know whether it was the small space between him and Mark or was it something else.
