Chapter 13

Mark got up to get the slip of paper that he got this morning, he walked back to Lucas sitting beside him on the bed.

Lucas, I got it this morning, it was slipped under your door as soon as you left.

Lucas took the paper from his hand and looked at it, he turned back the paper to completely see if it had an other clue to it. Then at the back of the paper he saw a symbol. That's when Mark realized he hadn't seen it.

This looks like .....Like Lambda. Mark said taking the paper in his hand.

Why is a Lambda at the card, is it like their symbol or something? Asked Lucas confused as to why it had been there.

I don't know, but for now it's another clue.

 Mark said slumping back in the bed. Both the men fell silent thinking about the situation at hand. Mark got up sitting straight looking at Lucas. 

I Think I should go to the place they had asked to come, said Mark confidently.

But Lucas was worried that it would be dangerous, No I'm not letting you go, it won't be safe once they figure out what we are there for.

Don't be ridiculous Lucas, they are someone who knows I'm new to the dorm, all these years you haven't received such a thing.

That could be their plan as well, maybe they could have figured out what we are trying to do.

That won't be possible and moreover if anything goes wrong you can always find help.

I still won't leave you.

I have the money to buy it, let's get it and give it to Lee. 

You said you still are not sure about Lee, how come you're trusting him now. 

BUT YOU WERE THE ONE WHO SAID WE HAVE NO OTHER GO, OTHER THAN TRUSTING HIM!!! 

Mark was pissed that Lucas wasn't understanding him.  On the other hand Lucas was pissed that Mark wasn't understanding him.There was awkward silence as Lucas and Mark had turned their backs against each other sitting in a very tensed way.  Mark sighed as he understood how silly this fight was being, they argued  just because they cared about each other, Mark turned back as he back hugged Lucas placing his head on his shoulder.

Lucas ~ Mark coed sweetly against his ears, Lucas didn't not respond but his attention was all for Mark.

I know you are afraid that something bad would happen,but we both know that there is risk involved in this and he have to take that risk in order to come at a conclusion and moreover the note wasn't intended for anyone, the person clearly knew that I was new here, maybe he or she knew about you, if you hide behind somewhere and you could just figure out how they were we could more then one clue to report back to Detective Lee, Think about it.

Lucas was silent as he was thinking about what Mark had said and he knew Mark was right, hence he sighed turning towards Mark.

Fine! But if anything goes wrong you would immediately run away as fast as you could.

Mark nod his head and hugged Lucas in a tight embrace, Lucas hugged back but he was still tensed on what would happen.

Are you sure you an do this ? Lucas asked Mark as soon as they reached the place where Mark was asked to meet them.

Mark laughed as he ruffled Lucas's hair, You've asked me this hundred times and yes I'm sure I can do this.

Lucas sighed as he let Mark go, If you feel like something is not right, I'll be hiding behind that building    said Lucas pointing to a building   run over to me, okay ?!

Mark nodded his head as he walked to the said meeting spot, he turned over once again to see Lucas walking over to his hiding spot, he turned back taking  deep breath. He had reached the meeting spot and noticed no one was there, he looked around to see if someone was there, but he didn't see anyone or anything at a far sight. That's when he heard a voice from somewhere.

Are you sure no one saw you come here ?

Mark was startled by the voice as he had no idea who's voice was it, Mark wasted no time in answering back.

Yeah I'm sure !

You have the cash in hand ?

Yes, Yes I do!

Good! wait for me !

A guy dressed in black from head to toe stepped out from the shadows and walked over to Mark, He couldn't guess anything since he had been covering his face too, the only  thing he noticed was the guy had same symbol he saw at the card this morning. He knew for sure that it was their group or gang symbol.

Show me the cash!

Mark nodded his head as he ruffled his pocket to take the bundle of cash he had bought.

You want the 50 dollars meds or 100  dollars meds?

Meds as in medicine Mark thought, but that's hen he realized that it could be  a code for cocaine or the drugs they used. He wasn't sure what to ask for, since he had no clue what would be the difference in them, but he was afraid if he would raise in flags if he asked for both of them, but he had to get them both without creating any suspicions.

How about you give me both, for 130 dollars?

The guy laughed as Mark gave the suggestion, No bargain mate!

Okay, How about for 140?

I said no bargain, either you buy or not !

Mark knew this won't cause a suspicion on him as he threw his hands in the air, Fine 150 it is then!

Mark gave him the money as the guy checked if it had the full cash, after checking he gave him the bundle of drugs he had brought with him.

If you want anymore stock meet me in the same place next week at same time, remember from here on you'll be watched if we find something going wrong from your side.

The guy walked away without any further words, Mark hurried back as he repeated the words in his head as only the word 'watched' stuck in his head, he knew he had to e careful from here and now. He ran to Lucas signalling him to follow him.

Mark walked straight back to his Apartment and Lucas knew where Mark was going so he followed him back being careful not to be suspicious.
