Campus Mystery [ LuMark FF ]

Chapter 14

Mark walked back to his apartment and Lucas him, both of them didn't want to stir up any suspicions hence they walked one after the other and soon they had reached Mark's apartment. Mark entered straight to his bedroom while Lucas followed him closing the door behind once again making sure that no else followed them both. Mark waited in his room, while Lucas walked fast and closed the bedroom door as well. Mark sighed sitting on hi bed, while Lucas sat beside him and rubbed his shoulders " What is it ? " Lucas asked sensing Mark might be tired.

" I'm still trying to process, our university, inside our own campus illegal things like such happen and the possibility of the dean being inside the circle of crime is high as well " Mark sighed once to which Lucas nodded and agreed " Well this is the reality now and somehow we got ourselves into this, now we have to do everything in order to quickly get out of this " Mark nodded hi head, he slumped on the bed and stared at the ceiling blankly " So what happened ? " Lucas questioned, Mark rolled over to look at him " All I got was that they sell two types of drugs one is for 50$, the other one is for 100 $ and the guys call it meds and this... " he ruffled his pocket searching for the packets he had bought " The packets have the symbol we saw earlier as well" .

Lucas took the packet from Mark and looked at it, he did see the symbol and was more confused " How come we never had seen this before all these incidents happened ? Like if Leo was murdered because of this, how come I never have seen him taking drugs?! "  Mark got up wrapping his arms around Lucas's torso, he knew Lucas was feeling sad that he couldn't help his friend at the time of danger " Lucas don't think about it, it wasn't your fault and moreover there is nothing you could have done to stop him " Lucas nodded his head at Mark's words.

" So what should we do about this ? " Lucas asked shaking the packet in front of Mark's face " First things first, let me call Lee and tell him about hat happened, he may knew what to do next " Lucas nodded his head, but he took the phone from Mark's hand " I'll call him, you can get ready for bed " Mark rolled his head seeing Lucas take his phone from his hand " I'm hungry, I'll go make some instant noodles " Mark said pushing Lucas out to his balcony so that he could change his clothes to something comfortable.

Lucas laughed as he stood by the balcony, slumping over the railings he called Detective Lee, " Hello! This is Lucas here Detective Lee " Lee coughed at the other end indicating Lucas not to say anything since he was surrounded by his colleagues, he came out of his office room and began to speak once again " Yes Lucas go on " Lucas rolled his eyes he still wasn't into the whole idea of helping him, but he hoped they could have some kind of protection if they worked for him, hence he was working along with him " We received some paper earlier in y dorm room about the location where they sod drugs, I'll tell you about that in detail when we meet, but for now all I can say is we got two kinds of packages from the drug circle " Lee had nothing to say except hum " I'll send you an address tomorrow, meet me there " .

Lucas hummed as well as response, before Detective Lee could end the call Lucas spoke back once again " Remember Detective Lee! " Lee didn't end the call as he halted hearing Lucas call his name, his vice was different, it was deep and that of threatening tone " If anything happens to either Mark or me, I have my own proofs to divert the case over your name " Lucas ended the call with his face still showing the expression that of a threating look, he was angry for a bit because of their situation in which both him and Mark had been dragged in. But at the other end Lee puffed his cigarette at Lucas's words, he wasn't ready to accpet it but Luas did had frighten him to some extent and he knew it was Lucas's way to make sure for him to remember to protect them no matter what happened.

Meanwhile Mark wore a big shirt that he had found in his closet, he didn't have any pajamas as he had sent most of his clothes to wash. He sighed wearing the big black shirt looking himself at the mirror, he had poured hot water in the noodles and was waiting for Lucas inside the bedroom. Lucas who came in after his phone call with Lee smiled seeing Mark in an oversize shirt, it seemed like all his anger flew away. Wrapping his arms around Mark's waist he kissed his ear making Mark startle a bit since he didn't see Lucas come in at the first place. He smiled at feeling of Lucas's lips touching his ear.

" Yo! We have to eat dinner " Mark smiled holding Lucas's hands , Lucas smirked " Believe me I'm having my dinner here " Lucas said as he proceeded to place kisses down Mark's neck, Mark laughed at Lucas's cheesy lines, he hit his arm as he sprung up bending down to face Lucas who was sitting at the edge of the bed " You can have the real dinner first so that you can get some energy for the night ~ "  he pecked his lips and walked off winking, even though Lucas smiled, he still wasn't used of Mark being flirty. He laughed as he joined Mark for the dinner.

Both the men sat down on the floor as they began to eat their noddle's, that's when Mark remembered that Lucas had spoken to Lee over a phone call and he still hadn't asked him what they spoke " Oh by the way! What did Lee say ? " Lucas ate a mouthful of noodle's and chewed it down as he spoke back " He told me that he would text an address tomorrow, I guess we have to meet him " Mark nodded his head but he looked absent minded, Lucas noticed the expression on Mark's face " What are you thinking about ? " Mark snapped out of his trance, he shook his head " I'm thinking, how long do we have to be stuck to this case ? " Mark said looking at Lucas. He looked at Mark as well sighing " That makes the two of us " .
