Ch.29 {Mission}

Debris flew everywhere, parts of the mountain fell off and both Kota and I were hit by a strong gust of wind. The vines I created earlier had already vanished so I wished for them again, hoping to have something to grab onto before we get knocked off. Unfortunately I wasn't able to focus and the vines never appeared, my breath hitched as Kota got pushed back to the edge of the cliff, falling back. "KOTA!" I cried out in horror, I didn't have enough energy to create the amount of wind to catch him.

"Gotcha!"

I let out a relieved breath when Midoriya appeared and caught Kota's sleeves between his teeth. "Sorry about that." Midoriya apologized as he helped me up. "It's fine, it just scared the heck out of me..." I answered as I patted the dirt off and rested my weight on my right side, the unharmed leg. Midoriya nodded in reply and my eyes trailed over to his arm, "Oh no, you broke your arm again... Let's get back to camp-"

I was interrupted by a sudden crash near the side of the mountain, I immediately swirled around and Muscular emerged. NO WAY! HOW DID HE-?! I gasped and tightened my grip on the fabric unconsciously, still limping. "Ha! A bit too obvious. But hey, the punch wasn't that bad Midoriya." The villain stretched and started to walk towards us, by now I was frozen in fear, my eyes wide in shock and my lips slowly parted. "S-stay AWAY!" I managed to choke out, and stood protectively in front of Midoriya and Kota. "Nah! Attacking sounds more fun..!" Muscular merely shrugged, that arrogant smile presented on his face again. No! What can we do now? I'm pretty sure I don't have control over my new element, I can't restrain him again!

"Remember what I told you two earlier? We've just been playing around. Having fun, until now! Now I'm serious! Recess is over, I'm coming at you for real, because truth be told, you're both pretty strong, I see that now." Muscular came another step towards us. I had to act quickly. "Hop on!" I yelled and Kota quickly got on my back. Muscular came rushing towards us, luckily we were faster and swiftly dodged his attack. His punch however, created a massive crater on the mountain, and a huge blast of wind hit us, driving us down. Without giving us a moment to prepare, he was already out of the dent and struck at us again.

The three of us all came falling down and hit the ground, rolling until we came to a stop. I sat up and crawled over to Kota, ready to protect him from the next attack. I glanced over to Midoriya and swiftly picked him up with the wind current, carrying him over to us as well. I sighed, we need to find an opening, and escape immediately, if Midoriya couldn't hurt him at all, I can't imagine what will happen... "Deku! I-" I was cut off as he slowly stood up, "Stay back you two. And when it's time, run as fast as you can." "W-what?" I stuttered. He can't be serious! He's risking his life! "You're... attacking him again? You can't do that! Let's just go! Come on! Your punch didn't hurt him earlier, remember? Besides, both your arms are broken!" Kota urged and I nodded, "We're in this together!"

"Fine..." Worry stretched my face as I stared at the determined boy, knowing that I had to let him do this, I slowly nodded, agreeing to his plan. He smiled, and his quirk charged up again, green lightning surrounding his body. Muscular's muscles expanded and covered his entire body, he charged head on at Midoriya while I just stood there, silently praying. As the two collided, I quickly grabbed onto Kota, shielding him from the impact. "AW! WHAT'S WRONG?! THAT WAS EVEN WEAKER THAN BEFORE!!" Muscular teased as he pushed forward, causing Midoriya to sink in the ground. Tears stained my cheek as I watched Midoriya collapse, I couldn't bring myself to just leave him behind. "THIS'LL ALL BE OKAY! I WILL NOT LET HIM GET PAST ME! (Y/N), KOTA! RUN!!" Midoriya shouted at us but I refused, shaking my head furiously and got ready for a fire blast. "SHOW ME YOUR BLOOD! I'M GONNA CRUSH YOU!!!!" Muscular laughed confidently and the ground beneath them started to crack.
