Ch.19 {The Hero Killer}

I gasped, it wasn't just Iida, I also spotted Midoriya, a bit further away just lying there motionless. Beside Iida, was another person as well, leaning against the wall. I watched in shock as Stain lifted his Katana about to stab Iida when Todoroki reacted before me, shooting a blast of fire at him. Unfortunately, it didn't hit him because he dodged in time, but we're lucky to get here in time or Iida could've been well dead. "Midoriya." Todoroki muttered, "You need to give more details in times like this, I was almost too late to stop this guy." My eyes widened. Wait! He just used his left side without hesitation!...I smiled to myself. I guess he finally got over it, I wonder what happened that stabilized his decision. I narrowed my eyes and walked up to Todoroki, getting in my fighting stance beside him. "Don't worry you guys! We are going to fight him off and protect you guys!" Side by side...!

"Y/N! Todoroki! Be careful!" Midoriya yelled, desperately trying to move, "You can't let that guy get your blood! I-I think he controls his enemy's actions by swallowing it! That's how he got us!" Me and Todoroki nodded in synchronously, taking in the information. If that's his quirk, we'll just have to stay away and use distant combat. "Everything is okay." Todoroki reassured them, "The pro heroes will be here any minute!"

Stain stayed silent preparing a battle plan before he launched himself at us, holding his blades out. I immediately activated my quirk, throwing fireballs at him. He dodged them swiftly in the air and three knives came whizzing by, grazing my cheek as I felt a sharp pain on my face. I touched it with my hand to find a cut bleeding out, he had sliced the side with one of his daggers he threw. Darn it! I can't let him get the blood! Stain was already dangerously close to me and before I could do anything, Todoroki shielded me with an ice wall. I flashed him a smile to thank him as he stood protectively in front of me. The ice then shattered before us, Stain had carved it into pieces and the debris flew everywhere. I manipulated a strong gust of wind towards Stain and knocked him away from Todoroki. Todoroki immediately struck another ice attack at Stain, who quickly jumped back and out of the way. 

"You're just what they said you were...but you won't be taking anymore lives...Hero killer." Todoroki stated, with everyone behind him.

Stain tensed up a bit but soon recovered and he leapt towards us again, "You have good friends Ingenium...or you did!" He threw the katana in mid air and swung a hit with his other knife at Todoroki, luckily the attack was blocked off by Todoroki's ice. But he immediately got to me and grabbed my collar, about to lick my blood, when my reflex kicked in, heating my body up with flames. He quickly let go and jumped back, phew... "He's strong!" Todoroki exclaimed and I gritted my teeth. "We can't let him get close to us!" Todoroki nodded and continued to sent ice spikes at Stain while I shot fireballs at him.

"Stop it...why are you....doing this...?" I turned back to see Iida panting heavily and I furrowed my eyebrows in concern. "I inherited my brother's name...I'm the one that should stop him...! The hero killer is mine!" Before I could respond, I felt another sharp pain on my left shoulder and I grunted, holding it with my right hand. "Y/N!!" Todoroki, Iida and Midoriya cried out in unison, and Todoroki started to attack Stain with much more power than before as his anger grew. "So your Ingenium now?" Todoroki questioned Iida with a cold tone as he created a thick ice wall, "Strange, the Ingenium I knew before never had that look on his face! You've got a dark side, guess my family isn't the only one." My eyes widened, I really wanted to confront Iida but now isn't the time, as the hero killer instantly sliced through the ice wall. 

"You blocked your own field of vision against an opponent who's faster than you, rookie mistake." He noted as I clenched my fist in frustration. "Come get me then!" Todoroki shouted as he lit up in flames, and Stain swiftly aimed another 2 daggers into Todoroki's calf. I was about to blast fire at Stain to keep him away when Midoriya suddenly jumped at him and dragged him across the alleyway. "Deku!" I yelled and Midoriya quickly responded, "I'm not sure why but I'm able to move now!" "So he has a time limit-?" I pondered out loud but I was cut off by the other person, "No, that kid should've been the last one to be free."
