(One month later)
“All students report to their respected Classes, Remember that today is the day you get a grade in all your classes. Good luck and remember, your sword is your life, so don’t miss use it!” the P.A then shut off with a beep.
I sighed, rolled over, and looked at my clock. 6:30. ‘Why do we have to wake up so early, the sun isn’t even up yet.” I quietly whispered to myself.
“Shut up and get dressed.” My Roommate Jane said.
I sighed again and got out of my bed, and put on my uniform. I grabbed my books and headed for Combat class.
Nothing particularly interesting happened on my way to class. I passed by other students, and teacher, I also passed team shadows quarters, and the door was closed… like usual
I entered the room and sat in my chair. A bell rang and class started.
“Alright students today is the day you get you first grade.” He said as he picked up some papers, “Most of you are doing very well. But please if you have below a 60% I’d like to see you after class.” He then started to hand out the papers. Once my paper got to me I looked at it and was not at all shocked. It read 47%, great a longer class for me.
45 minutes later the class ended, but I didn’t move. Once all the students left the teacher came up to me and started to spoke. “Cristella, you need above a 60% to pass, you know.”
“Hey I never wanted to be here, it wasn’t my idea to come, so I’m sorry I don’t meet your criteria!” I replied very snitty.
“Cristella, this may not be your choice to be here, but you are here so you need to meet the expected levels of duty. Now I want you to speck with Professor Wilson to discuss your grades. Report to at 18:00 today!.” He said as he gave me a sheet.
“Ugh this is such crap.” I said then left.
At 18:00 I started to walk to Mr. Wilson’s Office. Once I got there I knocked on the door, soon after the door opened.” Ah Cristella, I’ve been expecting you, come in,” he said in a low tone. I walked in and waited. “Have a seat,” he said and gestured towards a chair. I took a seat and waited for him to continue. “So you are failing all of your classes, and I believe that you are not doing your best here at Cypress.”
“I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again, it wasn’t my choice to come here so I have no reason to try.”
“Cristella you may not want to be here but you are, so pick up your act, and do what you are ordered.” He said sternly as he looked at me. After a pause he spoke again, “Look, your father sent you here because he was sick of your attitude, and we don’t accept children here! You should be able to deal with problems on your own, not rely on someone else!”
“I’m only 16!” I stated.
“And you only have two years to adulthood! It’s not a fast transition from that, you have been sent here so that we can put you on that path!” he yelled as he stood up.”
“No, I was sent here to become some sort of stealth solder! You made that very clear with your website!” I shouted.
“You no longer have an option, Cristella! You are here, and you are to do what you are ordered!” he said pointing a finger at me, “Dismissed!”
I stood up, stood there for a moment then left.
As I was approaching my dorm room I noticed that the red headed women named Dawn was standing in the entryway of my room.
“Why are you here, I’d like to sleep.” I said.
“Well I need to talk to you.”
“Can’t it wait until morning I need my sleep, so if you’ll excuse me,” I said as I tried to enter my dorm room.
She blocked my path with her arm and spoke, “No it can’t, and it’s only one question.”
“Fine what do you want?” I said angrily.
“Who are you?” she asked.
“Haven’t we already introduced each other? I’m Cristella Endover.”
“There are no records of you, why?”
“I don’t know, now move, I’d like some sleep,” I said pushing her out of the way.
I entered my room, and found that Jane was already asleep. I walked to my dresser and changed into my sleep wear, then walked to my bed and got in it and fell asleep.
The next morning I awoke and got out of bed. I noticed there was a pain in my upper arm. I rolled up my sleeve slowly and I found a small bandage on my arm, “what the?” I wondered to myself.
Suddenly the P.A cracked on, “Five minutes, until first period!” then it shut off.
“Great,” I thought, I quickly got dressed and ran to class.
