{POV Cristella}

“Alright class today we are going to be doing a test to evaluate where you stand on your fighting, and field skills. It will be a one by one course. Charles Banks you’re up first!”

“Alright let’s do this!” he said as he stood up eagerly to start. He followed the guard out the door to start.

“Now for all of you who are waiting please remain seated as you wait your turn.” The professor said.

Around 30 minutes later Charles returned, with cut clothes and sweat stains on his uniform.

“Very well done Charles, you may have a seat. Next, Cristella Endover!” The professor said, looking to me.

I stood up sighing and walked to the guard.

“Please follow me ma’am.” The guard ordered. I followed him to an elevator. “Step inside. It will take you to your assignment.”

I stepped inside as the door closed. The lift started on its way down, then opened into hallway, which looked like the inside of a starship. Holoroom, I said to myself.

“Your mission is to kill the captain and destroy the ship before it gets to its destination,” a P.A announced.

All the sudden my outfit changed. I was wearing robes of an assassin, with a dagger on each side of my belt, and a pistol in my hand.

I started to walk forward, as the door in front of me opened, two guards were on the other side and I panicked and shot them with instinct. What the… I looked at the gun for a second. I couldn’t believe what I had just done. What came over me? I just decided that it was a part of the simulation, and kept moving forwards. I rounded the corner and I noticed a larger blue arrow on the ground with the word Bridge on it. “That’s helpful,” I muttered to myself.

I followed the arrows though several corridors, taking note that not a single person was in my way. I reached a door that marked Bridge. “This must be it,” I turned the switch on and the door opened. A man who was standing near the middle in the middle of shouting an order turned to look at me.

“Intruder!” a man shouted and pulled a gun.

“Ensign! Lower the gun, I’ll deal with this alone,” The man standing said.

“Uh, yes sir,” he replied and lowered the gun.

“You must be the infamous assassin here to put a stop to my endeavors.” The man said.

“Uh, yeah… uh, lay down your weapons and surrender.”

“You don’t sound so sure of yourself, little one.”

“I said to lay down your weapons and surrender,” I said as I raised a pistol.

“Getting tough now aren’t you. Guards seize her!” he commanded.

Two guards came through the door and grabbed my hands. I felt a burning sensation in my eyes. All the sudden I elbowed the men simultaneously and then I spun around and shot both of them. The sensation in my eyes ceased and I dropped to my knees. What was that? How did I do that? I looked behind me to the Captain.

“Well that was a show, but you seemed confused. Tired maybe?” he said mockingly.

“I am confused and tired, but that doesn’t change that fact that you are just a computer simulation and I am not.” I said as I jumped to my feet and launched myself towards him. I took him as a hostage and with my gun pointed to his head, and I slowly started to walk the control panel.

“You fail to realize that killing me will hinder your mission, you need my codes to change coerce.” He said without a hint of being frightened.

“That’s not my plan, but telling you would be so cleshe.” I said as I shot him. His body fell and I bolted to the engine room.

As I reached the Engine room I had about five men running after me and the alarms were sounding. The engine room doors opened just in time for me to bolt though them. I quickly pulled out my gun and shot everything in sight, starting fires here and there. I shot a pipe that upon impact created a large explosion sending flying back.

“Engine room meltdown! Red Alert!” a P.A. repeatedly said.

I got up and ran for the door, but it had been locked, most likely by the solders that didn’t come in. Great! I looked for an override but no luck. I turned to see explosions going off, and I accepted my fate. A large explosion went off and engulfed the room and there was nothing.

I was floating in black nothing. Then the simulation ended and I fell to the ground. A door opened and two guards stepped though. “Please follow us.” I got up and walked over to the men, who then lead me to back to the class room.

As I entered the class room I looked to the professor, who didn’t look pleased. He walked up to me then began to speak, “Why did you give up so soon, Hm?”

“The door was locked from the outside, I had no way to escape.” I said back.

“Really,” he said questionably as he brought up a small 3D holographic map of the area from his wrist, “Because there were several different ways to leave the room such as here, here, and there which all lead to escape pods eventually.”

I stood there in silence trying to contain my anger. “Go sit down, class isn’t over yet,” he said as he turned to the class. I walked to my seat, and waited for him to begin talking.

“Very well, there is only several minutes left of class, the rest of you will be going thought the test over the next week or two. You may chat amongst yourselves.”

Everyone got into groups and started to talk about random things, while I just put my head on the desk until the bell rang. Once it did I stood up and gathered my things, then left. Heading towards the cafeteria for lunch I ran into Nathen, Great I thought to myself.

“Oh hi Cristella,” he called from a distance. Great he saw me.

“Oh hello, if you don’t mind I am a little hungry and would like to eat,” I said trying to move away from him.

“Of course. Just a thought, would you like to come see my team and I go through our tests? I could help you in class and I could give you some pointers,” he said in an optimistic tone.

“I don’t need pointer and I certainly don’t need to watch how good you are at what you do,” I said angrily.

“Alright, up to you,” he said as he started to walk away, “And hey good job today, you’ve come a long way,” he said then turned to leave.

“Thanks I guess,” I said quietly then left.
