"Come on guys, it's not even in use anymore" the teen boy led his two friends towards a lighthouse at the end of the abandoned town.

"Zach, I'm being serious. This place gives me the creeps" a girl shivered as she followed him into the secret SHIELD base. "They'll come looking for us" she reminded him with her protests.

"Not if we hide" he shrugged. "They won't even think to look here" Zach opened the door to the base, prying it open with his gloved hands.  "Woah, this was SHIELD" Zach gasped at the sight of the SHIELD logo on the wall.

"Sage is right, we shouldn't be here" Charlie urged his friend with worry filtered in his voice. Zach continued through the base, moving carefully around the boxes as he held up the flashlight. "Where are we now?" He questioned, following Zach into what seemed to be a storage room.

"Zach?" Sage questioned as he slowed to a stop and quieted. Zach had felt a pull towards a certain box, turning to his left to see a metal ball sitting in it delicately. He picked up the ball, inspecting it with interest as his friends grew more nervous by the minute.

"Oh no, I've heard story's of that thing, it eats people!" Charlie panicked.

"Your being ridiculous" Sage rolled her eyes, wondering why she was friends with these two boys.

"Whatever it is, is better than Hydra" Zach commented, causing the other two to shiver at the thought. The trio grew quiet, the ball starting to float on its own in the dusty air.

"What's it doing?"

"Get down!" Zach called, tackling his friends to the ground as a pulse of white light was sent from the device. With a groan, Zach sat up taking in his surroundings.

"Are we dead?" Charlie's voice sounded out.

"No" Zach scoffed as if it was a stupid question. "Come on man, get up" he nudged his friend before he made eye contact with me. I stood above him adjusting my grip on the bar I held as a weapon against him. I stared at him sternly, waiting for him to speak as he seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

"What the?" The curly haired brunette flipped over to see me with fear in his eyes that caught me off guard. Slightly shaking my head, I noticed Emily stand up from behind me at the same time as a girl stood up in front of me.

"Who are you?" I demanded the answers from the boy who stood across from me.

"Woah now, what are you gonna do with that" the first boy steps closer to me calmly with confidence. My fight or flight skills kick in and remember my training. I suddenly smack him over the head with the bar and pin him to the ground roughly.

"Who are you?" I question once more, sternness lacing my voice.

"Thea" Emily places a hand on my shoulder to calm me down.

"Not now!" I brush her off with frustration.

"Thea" she presses again.

"Yeah um, we don't really know how we got here but—" the other boy speaks up, now on his feet and standing in front of me. "Could you maybe let my idiot of a friend go?" He shyly questioned, flinching back as I looked up to him with a glare. With a small sigh and a nod I stood up, releasing the boy from my grip and moving to stand by Emily.

"What the hell was that all about?" The boy snapped, the girl shoving him back as she spoke up.

"Will you just shut up for one moment?" She snapped at him. "I'm Sage, that's Charlie and Zachary but we just call him Zach" she starts to explain with a shrug, pointing to each of her friends as she works to calm down the situation.

"How did you get here?" I pressed on.

"I told you we don't know" Charlie stepped up only for Sage to wave him back with warning.

"Zach here thought it would be a great idea to break into an old abandoned SHIELD base and mess around with tech." She sent him a glare, recalling the events from moments ago.

"Thea can I talk to you for a second?" Emily dragged me into the hall swiftly. "You don't think that maybe they could be cronicoms?" She suggested, worry filling her hazel eyes.

"No, they aren't cronicoms but I might have another theory" I looked back to the trio before walking towards them.

"Thea wait!" Emily rushed behind me.
