"So how do you think she's doing?"

"I don't know... I just hope she makes it"

Hop repeatedly tapped his foot on the floor wondering what could be happening inside, if he had the chance he would've gone in with the crowd to watch but because he's a Challenger he along with the others were ordered to stay in the waiting space. Victor hummed leaning back in his seat, he would be lying if he said he wasn't worried for his friend. He felt that he should've said more about the Challenge, but rules are rules no one who hasn't taken the Challenge are allowed to know what occurs inside the Challenge.

Both being in their thoughts they almost didn't hear the chime opening the doors, (Y/n) stepped out carrying Scorbunny who was napping happily in her arms. Hop was the first to get up rushing up to her asking what happened and if she had passed. Without having to say anything she took out the circular badge holder showing it to Hop, a relief came out of him hugging her tightly, keeping in mind the sleeping Pokemon in her arms, "Scorbunny pulled through... but we still need much more training for the next Gym"

"Number 189, Please make your way inside the Gym"

Hop huffed at the screen calling his number next, he would've wanted to spend at least a few minutes with (Y/n) and ask about her experience. Nonetheless, he gave a thumbs up to his friends asking them to wish him luck, and without a second thought he rushed in too excited to receive his badge.

(Y/n) stared at the closed doors looking down at Scorbunny, she softly smiled at him scratching his head between his ears, "The Poke center isn't far from here, bet you'll be back before Hop's finished with his Challenge"

"Okay, and if he comes out early please tell him where I am"

Victor nods sitting back down in his seat, (Y/n) left the building finding the Poke Center healing up her Scorbunny in seconds. It took a minute for all Pokemon to heal thanking the woman at the front, Scorbunny leaped out of his Pokeball fully energized, no thoughts were thought of watching the small bunny punch the air ready for another battle, "O-Okay Scorbunny that's enough, thank the nurse for her time"

"Scor!"

He leaps onto her arms relaxing in her embrace, (Y/n) gently smiled at the Pokemon shaking her head thanking the nurse again. Upon walking back to the Grass Gym she had some ideas to train Scorbunny in. Just as she steps in Hop pops out of the Gym doors holding the Grass Gym Badge with a smile.

"(Y/n)! Look I got my Badge!"

(Y/n) nods congratulating him for his hard work. He wrapped his arms around her feeling relieved the Gym wasn't as hard as he initially thought, they stood there a second too long before Victor decided to push them apart laughing to himself at how much more obvious Hop can be about his feelings. He points behind him holding a smile patting his stomach, "I say a victory lunch is in order?"

"Yeah! I'm getting a fat load of snacks for my Pokemon because they most definitely deserve it!"

Hop cheered already grabbing hold of (Y/n)'s hand, but unlike the two males who wanted to celebrate the minor victory (Y/n) had different ideas. She quietly declined their invite, which surprised the two by a lot, claiming to want to train Scorbunny. Hop stared at her surprised she was investing time for training, then again it wouldn't be (Y/n) to worry about future precautions.

"Well there's plenty of time to train (Y/n), we should celebrate the victory now while we're together right?"

She thinks for a second debating on going out with her friends or out in the Wild Area, in the end, she chose hanging out with her friends and it wasn't because of the Baby Doll eyes Hop was giving her. She let Hop drag her to the nearest food stand asking what they should get, (Y/n) stared at the large menu drilled on the side of the small stand taking out her money bag.
