You walk towards Loki and put your hand on the glass of the cell he is in, Loki had just attacked parts of Manhattan New York. The Avengers managed to catch him and lock him away. Loki could sense your presence here, he looked up knowing you were standing there. "Hello Loki." you said. his eyes widened slightly. "Y/N." he said. You hadn't seen him in a long time, you had first met Loki on Asgard when Thor introduced you to him after the victory on Vaneheim. You could still picture the day Loki had first laid his eyes on you, sitting at one of the tables across from you, holding a glass of wine while he stared at you with widened eyes. The way Loki was staring at you now reminded you of that.

"Are you going to say something? or is this just a staring contest?" he teased. "Wow, first words in over a century and you decide to tease me? such a brave soul." you laughed. "well, if I wasn't in a cell and there weren't so many cameras, I would have done something completely different." he winked. you blushed, shaking your head. "I'd prefer the teasing for now, but...save the other thing for later."

"Oh I will." he stood up and walked towards you, placing his hand on the glass where yours was. Your heads pressing against the glass, eyes closed. "I've missed you y/n." he said. "I missed you too Loki." you replied. He opened his eyes and stepped away from the glass, looking at you up and down. "You haven't changed a bit." he said. "Neither have you, still the same asgardian prince that stared at me for a good 5 minutes at dinner." Loki chuckled. He remembered the day he laid eyes on you for the first time, how could he forget the day he met his beautiful girlfriend.

"Except for the fact that you look completely exhausted." you continued. "why are you in this cell anyway?" you asked. Loki sighed and sat down on the bed inside the cell. "That's a very long story.." he said, lowering his voice a bit more. "well, I've got time." you said pulling up a chair and sitting down. You leaned forward a bit, resting your elbows on your knees, hands clasped together. "I'm listening."

"Y/N, you know what I've done. didn't the avengers tell you." he said. you sat there in silence for a moment. "I am aware yes, but I'd like to hear it from you." you said. Loki looked up at you. "Always willing to listen to my stories, very well." he said. you sat there, listening to him as he told you everything. he sounded guilty for what he had done but at the same time he was doing this because he thought it was right. to prove that he could rule as king. you told him that violence is not the answer and that he didn't need to do such a thing to prove that he is worthy, you knew that all he wanted was to be loved and appreciated, not cast out like he is nothing to anything nor anyone.

"Sweetheart, you can end this. return to a life of peace, you and I can be together again and share the life we once shared when we had first met. even after all this hate and destruction you are still the same asgardian prince that touched my frozen heart, melting it and turning it into something more....something stronger....a heart with a purpose."

your words touched loki's heart in ways no other person has, he could have easily broken down into tears if he wanted to. "God, how I want to hold you in my arms right now. let all of his suffering escape me." he said. you stood up, crossing your arms. "I know." you whispered.

"Y/N?" you heard nat call out. "Yes agent romanoff?" you replied. "Fury wants to speak with you, it's an urgent matter." she said. you nodded. "Very well, I'm on my way." you replied. Nat walked off. you turned back to Loki and placed a hand on the glass. "I'll be back Loki." you sighed. "I do hope to get you out of there." you said before walking off. Loki watched as you climbed the stairs and made your way to the council room where Fury and the others were waiting.

The whole time thinking about Loki and how you could settle things so you could be with him again.
