The music thrummed through her with memories, scattering years of repression and stress within seconds.
This. This was home. This was safe. This was her scene.
"Come on," she grinned, pulling the wide-eyed Ben through the tangled mass of people gyrating to the elemental pounding of the music. The black lights, florescent body paint, and light-sticks gave the room a dream-like quality, lending to the idea that nothing was quite as it seemed.
The air smelled of bodies, leather, and arousal. The emotions were a jumbled mess, a snarled mass ranging from jubilation, to panic, to orgasmic pleasure, to raw need, to searing pain. It was overwhelmingly visceral. It was life being lived in bold.
Eileen watched as P.A. led Helen, Edward, and Robbie towards the red area. To her relief P.A. kept a possessive arm around the girl, and Robbie stayed close to her other side almost instinctively. Edward would be fine on his own; Vampires were the apex predators in the red area.
"I thought you said not to go to the red area," Ben said quickly, watching as the lights shining on the walls changed from of dark forest green to a sparkling blood red.
"We won't stay long," she told him. "The red area is the feeding area for the Vampires."
His eyes shot to her with a look of longing, "Oh? Are you going to feed from me?"
She hadn't planned to, but it was extremely tempting, especially feeling how excited the thought made him.
P.A. stopped on the edge of the divide, pulling Helen back when she would have walked forward. He shook his head, "Only Vamps and donors beyond this point."
Her eyes widened, and she quickly squeezed closer to him, looking around as if somebody might suddenly decide to rip into her neck.
"I'll protect you," he murmured against her hair.
Eileen could feel his resolve in that statement. He would die before anybody laid a hand on her. She also felt Helen relax at his words, wholly trusting him to do as he said. That was how an alpha-beta relationship should work.
Suddenly Eileen wanted to share herself fully with Ben, wanted him to know all of her, including the parts she had hidden from everyone else--at least everyone that knew her real name.
Eyes locked on his, she led him into the red area. Ben's eyes lit up, and though her heart pounded with nervousness, seeing his eagerness gave her the courage to continue forward.
He quickly offered his arm, but she shook her head. Instead, she stepped in closer and stood on tiptoe to whisper into his ear, "A wrist is the most impersonal bite Vampires can give. If I bite your wrist, I'm saying you're just another donor. Can I bite you somewhere else?"
"Bite me wherever you want," he quickly agreed.
Her eyes danced with mischief, "Don't tell me that."
To her surprise his eyes lit with an inner fire, and his tone was deep, commanding, "I'm the one that gives the orders."
Her knees nearly buckled. To think she'd been afraid he would be a meek and mild bedmate.
"Where is the most intimate bite?" he demanded.
She stepped in to obscure her hand and placed it on is semi-erection. He flinched, but she could feel that it wasn't in a good way. Even though it was rumored to feel amazing, not a lot of guys were okay with being bitten there.
"What's the next most intimate," he laughed nervously. "Because I'm not ready to do something that public yet."
Yet. Oh, Wayden. She squeezed her legs together as his word struck her core and evoked naughty thoughts.
