Love me

Larry sat down on the couch and picked up the package from the table, then he removed the bubble wrap that surrounded the small box and his eyes immediately expressed surprise when he read the words "Cartier" in gold calligraphy at the top.

Larry wondered who would send Laurent expensive jewelry when he hasn't received any at all this week. As famous twins, they were a packaged deal and usually they both received gifts at the same time, but then he thought that it could be one of Laurent's fans.

His brother had many thirsty high class girls who followed him around and loved to spoil him, but as Larry looked at the box, he wondered why Lau would want to throw diamonds away... Condom's, flowers, weird fan art or even mixed tapes sure, those things would be thrown out by the dozens, since they received so many, but diamonds?

They may be millionaires now but they still understood the value of money and growing up in the poor streets of Paris, you learn not to take anything for granted.

Larry didn't hesitate and opened the top flap of the red crushed velvet box, revealing a beautiful engagement ring set in platinum and a cluster of diamonds. It was so sparkly, he nearly put it on his own finger.

The ring was obviously too small for him, so he guessed it must be for a girl, but why would a girls engagement ring be addressed to Laurent?

Suddenly Larry's eyes went wide with realisation as he assumed that Laurent was planning on proposing to his girlfriend Jessica, which made him feel both happy for his brother and sad for himself.

Larry still had no idea that they were broken up or that Laurent had just spent his time crying into his pillow. He just hadn't found the strength to talk to Larry about it yet.

Larry heard Laurent's bedroom door open and quickly scrambled to put the ring back in the box, but fumbled and ended up dropping it on the floor and it rolled into a corner of the room. Panicked, he closed the empty box and put it behind his back.

Lau: "Larry...I'm kinda hungry, can you make lunch?"

Lau said, sounding exhausted. Probably from crying by himself, but Larry didn't know this.

Larry: "Huh? Yeah, sure"

Larry jumped up and rushed towards the kitchen, hoping that Laurent wouldn't notice the ring on the floor, the last thing Larry wanted was to piss him off more. Larry gathered a few ingredients from the fridge, pretending not to care that his brother had just taken a seat on the couch, which had a clear view of where he dropped the ring.

Laurent immediately noticed it and turned his head to Larry

Lau: "Don't you listen?! I told you to throw it away, fuck Larry.."

Lau yelled at him but Larry simply rolled his eyes and walked over to him.

Larry: "Hey man.. what's going on whitchu? Why you actin' like this?"

Lau: "Like what? You need to learn to mind your damn business, not everything is yours to take"

Larry knew that Laurent didn't mean his words and that he was probably just tired, so he ignored his brothers bitch fit and turned around again to get lunch ready for the two of them in the kitchen.

Larry held up his hands in surrender and shook his head, assuming that Laurent was just nervous about telling him about the proposal, which was rediculous since Larry was happy for him, but he wasn't going to force it out of him.

Laurent said nothing and got off the couch and walked slowly towards the corner of the room where the ring was lying and picked it up. He glared at the impeccably cut diamond cluster in the middle of the platinum band between his fingers and his heart sank to his feet.

Laurent didn't notice it at the time but Larry had a reaction out of reflex at that exact moment and cluched his chest briefly, believing it to be some type of heart burn, not noticing his brothers anguish at all.
Whenever one twin felt pain like this, the other would automatically feel it too, weather they understood it or not, it was just in their nature.

Lau: "She's moving on, for real this time"

Larry stopped what he was doing and turned around to face his brother.

Laurent paused, tears glistening in his eyes, threatening to fall onto his black guess t-shirt.

Lau: "I thought after we won world of dance, she was gonna come back to me, so I asked her to marry me Larry, I told her how I feel but she said no, she's inlove with another nigga"

Laurent then let himself go, letting all his strength wean, he fell to his knees and silently let the sobs take him over.

Larry: "shit"

It was all he could say while wiping his hand over his own face in shock and empathy for his twin. Larry knew how much Laurent loved Jessica, she was his first real love. They had met a long time ago, back when the boys were just starting to get recognition for their incredible dancing. Jessica was never Larry's type, but she was a good person and that was part of the reason Larry had allowed Laurent to fall for her.

He should've known this would happen, he knew that Laurent gave his heart away too easily, he was a hopeless romantic, but at the same time, that was why Larry felt so drawn to him, why everyone felt so drawn to him.

Even though they were twins, Larry found himself blushing more times than he could count, at how sweet and thoughtful his brother could be and it broke his heart to see his sweet Lau, so hurt and broken.

When the guys entered the international world of dance competition, they knew they would win, but Larry knew that part of Laurent's motivation to join was to get Jessica back in his life. He said it publicly after their first audition and he was so sure that confessing his love for her on national television would make her see the truth.

The couple had a huge fight before the competition and winning was Laurent's way of redeeming himself to her and proving himself to the world. Now it seems, only one of those things happened.

Larry walked over to Laurent and bent his knees, squatting behind his brother as he held him tightly. Just like when they were kids and one of them got hurt, they would hold eachother to take the pain away.

The immediate intimacy and warmth of Larry's touch, made Laurent cry full crocodile tears right into his own hands. Larry rocked him back and forth, lulling and whispering soft comforting words in his ear. Larry held his brothers face with one hand and Laurent turned into him, fully shifting his weight until Larry ended up sitting flat on the hard wood floor. He continued rubbing, comforting and kissing Laurents head, arms and back, as if he was cradling a child. Larry felt so helpless that he couldn't move, it was as if his heart was broken too.

Larry: "tell me... What can I do?"

He said in a gentle, loving voice to his sobbing brother.

Lau: "...just love me"

Larry: "Always.."

They stayed in that position for another two hours, completely forgetting about the world.
