requested by: _grrridk_today was the dreaded day of getting my wisdom teeth removed; i had tried to put it off for the longest way because i was either too busy to actually book an appointment or i nervous on how things would turn out. mason had been pushing me to book it for the longest time as he knew that the aftermath of the removal was the best part of it all and he knew that he would be able to get some content, for my youtube channel, his instagram stories and just simply for his own good to watch back on days when we were apart.
we hadn't been dating for long, it just being over eight months since we got together. and even though our relationship wasnt the longest yet, it felt as if we had been together for years; our friends and family telling us that we were so comfortable and loved up when we were around each other that it felt as if we had been married for decades. i appreciated mason with all of me and he appreciated me, as he had told me many times when we were laying in bed or doing some simple tasks. we first met at a bar, not the cliche stereotype of meeting somewhere fancy but quite the opposite, i had been asked on a date by another guy and he never showed up.
"hi, i'm so sorry i'm late. how are you doing?" a person that i had never met in my life came over to where i was sitting, pulling out the seat next to me and sitting down comfortably. "play along." he then whispered to me with a small smile so that nobody around us would be able to be hear or see what he was saying.
i didn't know whether to feel relieved or embarrassed, relieved that i was no longer going to feel shown up in front of many people in the bar i was at or embarrassed a the fact that a random guy had to step in and technically save me from dying of awkwardness.
"i'm doing well, how're you?" i spoke kindly whilst scanning my eyes over the mans face, i would be lying if i said that he wasnt really attractive. the way his hair was the perfect shade of brown and was shaped perfectly, the slight stubble that was growing above his upper lip and along his chin and jawline, the way his face was as if it was sculpted by the gods or the way i could get fully lost into his gorgeous eyes if i looked into them long enough.
"i'm good, thanks, the traffic was horrible so i'm sorry for leaving you waiting." he told me before ordering us a drink once he saw that my glass was empty of any liquid. "i'm mason."
"i'm y/n, nice to meet you." i whispered back to the man in front of me, thanking him as he paid for my drink after denying the money i gave him for it.
"beautiful name for a beautiful woman." he said with a flirty tone in his voice, sending me a small wink as the small gesture made my cheeks turn rosy but luckily the bar wasnt as bright as it would be during the day so he wouldn't be able to see my flustered face that easily. after that, it felt like the rest of the night had flown by, mason and i spending the entire evening getting to know each other and flirting with the other. a night that started with meaningless flirty banter ended with our clothes sprawled across my bedroom floor and we carried on from there.
