About 6 days later, it was Friday and I had practice with my softball team and we were actually all getting along. Mrs. Jennings grabbed attention and said, "Girls I have some big news, so summer is almost here and I was thinking what if we go to Australia for summer vacation!" "Ahhhhh!!!! Are you serious?" we asked while yelling. "If you guys work really hard and make the championship." "Okay!" Mrs. Jennings talked about the payment and she is giving us the permission slip next week. "Wow, 200 dollars!" I thought. When practice was over, I told my mama about the summer vacation trip and they can come too. "Michelle, we don't have that much money, but I'll go see in our savings." Mama went to the room and checked the savings. We had only 125 dollars and 23 cents. My mama said that I could probably walk some if the neighbors dogs for money. Then, papa walked into the living room. "Why are you here standing around, go clean the restrooms, now!!!" I ran to the get the supplies and I started to clean the bathtub. About 2 hours later, I was done cleaning and went to the living room. I overheard my papa and mama having a conversation. "She is not leaving this house Gloria, she needs to be at the house cleaning and working not for vacation!" "Ángel, she needs to go out and have fun and get out!" "Fine, but I'm going to make her cleaning the whole house and force her to clean the neighbors yard!" "Ángel, you are never going to change." Mama walked it the bedroom and slammed the door, leaving papa standing in the middle of the living room.
