"Grandma?!Grandpa?!" "Mija!!! I missed you so much!!" my nana, Julia, came running towards me. My tata, Alejandro came following my nana. They both hugged me, leaving me in tears, my mama, my papa, and everybody who was there. "Sorry everyone, I know you heard bad news about us, but we are okay now," my nana said. Marisol asked, "So they was no car crash?" My tata spoke up, "There was, but we're fine, the car.....not so much." "How come the police told us you past away?!" my mama asked. Both my grandparents shrugged, but we are relieved they are alive. It's been 2 years since we thought they passed away. They explained that they have been on vacation for a while, they went to Hawaii for those 2 years. They both took a seat and we served them the food. The party kept on going. Then, we all played a baseball game. I was the captain even thought I wouldn't be able to field and run. I had Cassie run for me when I batted. I stepped up to the plate like old times, kissed the necklace papa gave me, when I went to Australia, and I stepped on the left side of the batting box. I'm a lefty now because it's hard to bat right with only your left arm. I hit it far, far,far.....to left field. "Foul ball!" I saw Cassie coming back to home plate, tired. " Vamanos Ump, are you trying to make me tired!" I just laughed at her statement. I hit it again and it was a double. The game ended and we ended up winning 11-9. Cassie was really red and I asked if she was doing alright. She said her stomach was hurting, so I felt her forehead and she was burning up. I brought her inside the house, gave her a cold water bottle, and I grabbed a thermometer. I placed the thermometer in her mouth and it was 101.5 degrees. I had her lay on her bed, so that I could put Vapo Rub on her stomach. I also have her Tylenol. She ended up falling asleep and I left her room quietly and I went downstairs back to the party. It started to go down hill when they brought over a.......karaoke machine.......My tios were singing and drinking nonstop, I wanted them to stop. It's always like this tho at every party we throw. Finally, when they stopped singing, we opened presents. My favorite one was there was two bracelets, a baseball one and a softball one, to put on the babies wrists. My family kept partying for a couple of hours, and they all went home. I was getting ready for bed, until Cassie was saying her stomach was hurting again. I grabbed Tylenol from the medicine cabinet and gave her some and did the Vapo Rub again. She went right back to bed, and so did I. Around 3:00 a.m., Samantha woke me up saying, "Mami, Cassie is not in her room, she's gone." I immediately ran to Cassie's room and she wasn't there. I woke up Justin to search for her around the house. All of a sudden I get a call, "Hello?" Yes, hello is this Michelle Garcia?" "Yes." " This is Fernanda Hernandez from the Dignity Health California Hospital Medical Care and well I just want to let you know your daughter Cassie, she is not doing so good right now, and I want you to come immediately, before.....it gets any worse." "Before?! Before what?! What's it?! Hello?!" The nurse hanged up.
