Chapter 24
Roxy's POV

TW: Death, Blood, and some caps.

I gather my family with me.
The Shadowhunters all get into a formation they were taught at birth.

Airy snarls, quickly spinning a rogue vampire backwards, before ending its misery in a corner. They speed back over, their mouth covered with blood, a grin plastered to their face.

Phe whispers to Meg, "They're scary sometimes."
Meg nods in agreement as she flips a vampire upside down.

I turn to see Max and Magnus throwing blue sparks, distracting a group of vampires.
Rebecca starts to stand weakly, holding her mothers whip out. Georgia, Eleanor and John have a triangle protection circle around her.

John slashes with his Aunt Livvy's sabres, ending several bad vamps, while Eleanor has John's headphones around her neck, blasting his music so the three can concentrate, swinging Cortana around. Georgia has her dads archery talent, as she nocks arrows and eyes her slower, unaware targets, piercing the dead hearts so none will get near Rebecca.

Alec and Rafe tag team with Lily, who has unleashed her vampire craziness on the opponents, trying to get to Addison.
Their arrows work similarly to Georgia's.

As Clary and Val work alongside the warlocks, the magic seems to pierce whatever barrier that Addison has around herself and De Quincey.
Val high-fives Clary when a high-pitched scream goes throughout the hotel, making everyone on both sides turn.

A vampire had gotten their hands on a runed object, and stabbed Phe with it, about to stab Meg as well, but the runes burned them up.
Phe had turned to look at me and Airy.
"I love you," They whisper before the room lit up and they turned to ashes.

"NO!" I cry out.
Airy starts sobbing, and Meg has a look of shock on her face.

The rage takes over the three of us, and it only took a few seconds before we eliminated half the vampires left standing.
Harmony wolfs out, transforming and attacks the barrier, breaking it in half.

Addison yelps, drawing something out of her pocket, pressing certain buttons.
She looks around the room.

"I'm sorry," She says to De Quincey, and a time-travel portal appears and engulfs her.
De Quincey swore, finding himself surrounded by Shadowhunters, a werewolf, good but in rage vampires, and warlocks.
Whoever was left of the rogue vampires quickly and wisely dashed away, leaving himself defenceless.

"Let's kill him," Lily growls.
She licks her lips in earnest.
"And make it a slow, miserable death," Meg adds, with a look of insanity in her usually kind eyes.

"Wait!" Eleanor yells.

Everyone turns to look at her, except the vampires, who were making sure De Quincey didn't try to escape.

"I think we should give him to Luke," Eleanor continues.
She runs a hand through her sweaty blonde hair.

A couple of protests come from Harmony (which was basically a snarl), and my clan, which is now three, and I can't wrap my head around that.

"Quiet!" Magnus yells.
We all hush.

"And we let Luke time-travel him back to his decade, and he can finish off his existence there."

"That sounds good," John adds encouragingly.

"Tie him up," I order, and we all converge on him.

***

Lily stayed at the hotel, rounding up the alive, rogue vampires. She is forcing them to clean up the hotel to its prime essence that it was before the original vampires came in and ruined it.

I walked out with Airy and Meg, tears freely flowing down our faces. We are all mourning privately.

"Hey Rox! Hold up!" Rebecca calls.

I turn to face her. She is using Cortana as a cane to reach us.

"Come back to the Institute with us. Dad was a vampire before he became a Shadowhunter, even though that was a long time ago. You three are welcome to stay at the Institute until you feel better."

Airy whispers something into my ear and my eyes flash to Rebecca's shoulder for an invisible second, before I look away.

"If it is alright with the Institute leaders," Meg says.

"It's fine with me!" Clary shouts, definitely eavesdropping. Her hair red hair is shining and conspicuous in the areas with the sun on the street.

Rebecca chuckles.
Meg nods, and the three of us follow them back to the Institute.
