The five of us flop onto the ground of the New York Institute, causing a stir. 

Clary and Jace gasp, rushing to greet their daughter.
It's a good thing we all put our training gear back on from when we first travelled back in time.
Antony goes to help me up, while Rosalie helps Ash.

Magnus and Alec run up to us.
"Are you guys alright?" Magnus asks.

I nod, and so does Antony.
"We're alright, don't worry."

He smiles and hugs us.

Everyone comes around and greets each other.
I introduce myself to Clary and Jocelyn for the first time, giving a nice hello.

"What happened to you guys?" Val and Alessa ask.
"A long story," The five of us reply at the same time, laughing.

"Come on, we'll get you guys settled," Luke says.
He helps all of us walk to chairs, while Jocelyn, Val, Clary, and Alessa take our bags to the rooms. 
Alec, Luke, and Magnus eye all of us suspiciously as we take our seating positions.

I sit next to Antony, who pulls me closer by wrapping an arm around my waist.
Adele sits in a chair, while Ashton sits on the carpet, between her legs. 
And Rosalie being a classic Rose, lays upside down on the opposite end of the couch.

"What really happened to you guys?" Alec asks.

Antony tells the entire story, and the four of us chip in our events and knowledge that he left out, and the remembrance clicks in Magnus's eyes as it went on.
By the time Antony finished, their jaws were dropped.

"The ball-" Magnus mutters, in shock.

I shrug, chuckling.
"So what happened here?"

Luke, Alec, and Magnus exchange sad looks.

"What happened?" I repeat, my voice rising.

"Well," Magnus begins, getting out of his shock. "There was a person who came around and kidnapped several people, including different members of the Downworld. It was Mina, Atticus, Rebecca, Lily Chen and ..."

He stutters before saying, 
"Your parents."

I make an incoherent noise as Luke continues.
Antony squeezes my waist gently.

"She used time-travel to befriend De Quincey, and with his help, she overtook the Dumort. And we just returned from the battle a couple of hours ago."

"Is everyone alright?" Rosalie asks, at the same time Ash asks, "Who is the girl?"

"No," Alec says in response. "And the girls' name is Addison Campbell. I think you are related to her."
Ashton's entire body pales.

"Who was hurt?" Adele asks.
"Mina, a vampire named Meg, a werewolf named Harmony, and Rebecca," Luke replies.
"That's not terrible-" I say, getting cut off.

"But," Luke adds. "There were some deaths."

All of us freeze.

"Who died?" Antony asks.

Luke breathes out.
"Rue Claireson, who was a faerie, Phe Starcatcher, who was a vampire, Atticus Blackthorn. Along with... Eli and Star Merton."

I go into a daze.
My parents-
They're gone.

I lose the sense of the room around me. 

"Where are their bodies?" I hiss at Luke.
"The Sanctuary," He replies, not meeting my eyes.
