Gabriel Arlington, the god of life, was never much of the romantic type, he was more worried about work than anything else. The only thing coming before it was his little brother Michael. Of course there were other deities but they saw him as a father. He didnt mind not having a significant other, but as time went on and as everyone started getting older he soon found himself to be all alone with the occasional visits from Michael. Soon even Michael had a mate. Though gabriel refused to look for a mate of his own he did agree to try and socialize. He tried everything. He tried being a baker, a pianist, an artist, and an undertaker. While he enjoyed it he didnt socialize the way he wanted. One day in 1749 he decided to give it one last shot and became a doctor in downtown London. He loved helping humans in need but he wasnt making any friends. One day a woman rushes in carrying a little boy who could be no younger than 4 years old. The boy seemed to be having trouble breathing. Gabriel quickly wrapped him in a blanket and took him into the back to grab some peppermint oil. He had the boy inhale the fumes allowing him to breathe easier. The mother of the boy was relieved when Gabriel brought the boy out

"Thank you so much! I was so worried!" She said as she hugged her son.

"It was my pleasure miss. He'll be just fine, but I'd let him rest for a couple days." Gabriel said

"Thank you. I'm Sydney and this is my son drax." She said as she picked up Drax.

"Gadreel"

"Nice to meet you Gadreel. Are you free tomorrow? I'd love to take you to lunch. As a thank you" she said. Drax attempted to hide behind her.

"Uh... sure. I'd love to" he said with a smile. He knelt down to drax's level and handed him a lollipop

"We'll see you tomorrow then" she said with a smile before she and drax left. The rest of the night Gabriel found he couldn't get her smile out of his mind. She seemed so sweet and kind. He found himself looking forward to tomorrow
