Despite what they had talked about Sydney did not leave jackson. She instead stayed with him and completely ignored gabriel and Michael for weeks. They were a vit aggravated by her stubbornness but knew they couldnt give up. Gabriel, bsing the god of life, had access to every humans death record. If she was going to stay with Jackson he might as well see if she's murdered. To his surprise her death was scheduled to be very soon, in a few months. All the record said was
"Drown"
Gabriel hated to see this, but knew she would be better off in heaven. Once Michael was informed he wasnt sure whether to be releived or anxious. They had both formed a bond with her and drax and they hated to see them suffer. The death record never mentioned drax's name however. So perhaps he lives a happy life, they thought. If only they knew how wrong they were. They tried once again to attract Sydney's attention. At that point it had been around 4 months since they had spoken to her. She finally agreed to talk to them. When she emerged her stomach was a lump, slightly tightening her dress. The boys smiled. Gabriel forced his as he knew this child would not get the chance to live. Sydney invited them inside for tea which they gladly accepted. Drax was sitting on the living room floor cleaning up a stain in the flooring. As they drank their tea Sydney confirmed her pregnancy.

"She's due sometime in april" she said.

"How do you know its a girl?" Michael asked. Sydney smiled and set her cup on the table. She straightened out her dress and sat straught up

"Just a hunch" she said as she maintained her smile and posture. By 1753 standers she was finally acting like a proper lady, meaning this may be the last time they got to talk to her. Gabriel thought to himself '𝒊𝒇 𝒘𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉.' Before they left Gabriel whispered to Sydney

"Everything is going to be fine soon."

Of course this confused Sydney but she brushed it off as Gadreel being Gadreel. Walking away from the woman he fell for to leave her to her ultimate doom understandably wasnt easy for Gabriel, but he had no choice. There was nothing more he could do. She refused help for 4 years. Gabriel by no means was giving up on her, he was just stepping back to let things play out. Once Sydney is in the afterlife she will leave Jackson, at least that's what he hoped. But what if she continued to stay with him? What if things got worse? Well, its worth a shot, gabriel thought. He would never admit it but he was yearning for the day of Sydney's death. Finally, after months of waiting, the day arrived. Sydney Jackson and drax were on the way to visit Jackson's sick sister. They got in the carriage and rode off. As they were going over a bridge rhe horse decided to stop for some reason. Jackson checked in it to make sure there were no injuries or if it was sick. While he was checking they felt the bridge rumble. Before anyone could react the bridge collapsed, the debris crushing Jackson to death. Sydney managed to squeeze drax out of the carriage. Because of her pregnant belly she coukdnt squeeze out. Water was filling the carriage rapidly. Sydney took one last deep breath with the little air she had. She desperately tried to find an opening, but with the cold water and adrenaline rushing through her body it was impossible to think clearly. As the air escaped her lungs she felt the water flow in. She spent her last moments worrying for drax and his future. She died trapped in the carriage. Gabriel watched the events unfold from a distance. Even though he knew he would see her again soon he couldnt help but cry. He saw Jackson's sister helo drax back to her place. At least he wont have to deal with Jackson anymore. With that, he made his way to heaven and searched for Sydney.
