As the years passed Gabriel and Michael spent countless days trying to convince Sydney to leave Jackson. Every time she refused for Drax's sake. Gabriel would visit as much as he could. Drax looked up to him as a father figure, Jackson seemed to take notice and refused to let drax see him. On drax's 8th birthday Sydney managed to sneak him out to see gabriel while she distracted jackson. Eventually he left to visit his sister. While he was gone there was a knock at the door. When Sydney answered she saw it was Michael

"Oh... hello" she said

"Hi. Sorry to bother you but i know drax is with my brother and i saw jackson leave. May i come in?" He asked. She opened the door so he could come in. He sat on the couch as respectfully as he could.

"What did you need?" She asked.

"I know we've been bringing it up a lot but its for a good reason! Jackson is-" he's interrupted by Sydney's sigh

"Not this again. Listen i am not leaving him!" She said. Michael leaned back and sighed

"What will it take to change your mind?" He asked. She thought for a moment

"I'm not sure" she said. Michael smirked. Sydney took notice and couldnt help but smile a bit

"Maybe we can figure something out" she said. Michael scooted closer to her

"Maybe we can" he said before gently kissing her. At first she seemed confused, but eventually melted into it. Things escalated into a night full of adult fun. After the fun was at an end Michael turned to Sydney

"You know my brother has a thing for you, right? He talks about you all the time. About how beautiful you are, about how kind and caring you are, he really likes you." He said.

"Really? I... i like him too... but i obviously cant be with him."

"You can, but only if you leave Jackson." He said as he braided some of her hair

"I cant leave him." She said. Michael frowned and pulled her to him

"I know you're scared, but this is for your safety and drax's" he said. She curled into him and sighed

"Michael i cant... i love Gadreel but its too risky to leave jackson" she said. Michael didnt say a word for a few moments.

"You know, gadreel is the best vrother i could ask for. You and him are a lot alike. Practically made for each other" he said.

"I dont doubt that. Drax looks up to him. Of course Jackson doesn't like him but he doesn't like anyone." She said

"Gadreel basically raised 7 little kids. 6 boys 1 girl." Michael said.

"Good with kids."she said with a smile. Michael smiled and nodded

"He pretty much raised me. Thays why I'm the stone cold son of a bitch i am today!" He said. Sydney playfully punched him

"Thats a lie. You're a living teddy bear" she said with a smile

"Yeah ok thats fair. But i wasnt lying about him raising me. I learned a lot from him. Drax needs a good father figure and Gadreel is the perfect guy" he said.

"He does need a father he wont be scared of..."

"He's one hell of a cook too. The best chef in the world wishes he could cook like Gabr- Gadreel" he said hoping she didn't catch his mistake. She instead laughed

"I bet they do. He's handsome too, but so are you" she said.

"See? He's perfect for you. You deserve him. Jackson doesn't deserve you." He said as he held her closer

"Mmm... I'll think about it. I'm tired." She said with a yawn. Michael kissed her forehead as they drifted off to sleep
