Two twin Korean siblings, at age 22, Nana Oford and Jayden Oford, died due to some circumstances, soon they find themselves to awake as newborns inside of the infamous novel they had once read in their past lives titled "Alter Ego".
"KILL HER!! THIS...
" A nice Fragrence, soft hands holding me... BUT THOSE EYES ARE AS COLD AS STONE!!"
The young newborn with aqua colored hair, covered up in a blanket had spoken to herself while a dominating women stood before her, being held by that same women.
"So, this girl was named...Calista?"
A cold voice inflicted towards the chest of the newborn, as she was struck with fear.
"Y-yes, your Imperial highness. The Emperor himself actually named her."
A young maid, about a girl of her teenage years with light brown hair in two buns and lavender eyes was bowing down in front of the Empress.
"Alright. Since she's that precious enough to receive a name such as that, from here on you'll take care of her needs."
The Empress hands the newborn to the young maid.
"Just make sure this girl doesn't appear anywhere near my sight after today."
The cold voice of the Empress spoke as though full of thirst to kill. The Empress soon walked towards the door with her lavishly red, wine colored dress sparkling as she walked with her shiny long blonde hair curled up and a white rose pin on her hair, as her green bright eyes just shone in disgust as she left.
The door shut close.
The young maid then walks over to a rocking chair and sits on it.
"Calista, such a beautiful Princess. I promise to protect you."
The young maid had spoken in a calm and delicate voice with her face shone in a bright smile.
"Calista? Hm, I guess fate gave me another chance at life. But where the heck am I?!!"
Calista had said as she talked through her mind.
"Princess, please don't see your mother in such a cruel way when growing up. I don't think she really means it when she doesn't want to see you ever again."
The young maid said, with a worrisome smile.
"Gah, why does this women remind me of someone I've seen before?!!"
The newborn had questioned to herself.
The young maid then gave out a smile, as she spoke
"You are her royal highness Calista De Afilia. The only Princess. His majesty, Mizuki De Afilia is the crown Prince, and as well as her highnesses twin younger brother."
"Of course... out of all places... I was reborn inside of the novel "Alter Ego" !! These names were definitely inside of the story!! Not only that but, both Calista and Mizuki are just some side characters!! And I'm Calista herself !!"
Calista yelled out in frustration inside of her thoughts.
"Okay, how does the story play out again..? RIGHT! "Alter Ego", it's infamous for it's amount of violence that occurs in the book. It might be considered 'horror' for some readers like me. So this place that I'm at is the Hasvith palace. The palace where the only royal Princess is set to live in. That is until, The Emperor dies on Calista and Mizuki's fifth birthday that is !! It was an assassination, but even I don't know who planned it. Because of that, Calista and Mizuki then get transferred over to the Invot Palace by the Empress herself, to an empty palace where any concubine stays at !! That girl is the start of the tragic ending, Portia Renitz, the Female Lead, aswell as the so called 'sister' that came out of nowhere. That girl seems all nice and all but she's a total two faced !! Because of Calista's naive acts, she tries to act the same way as Portia in which this is where the title of the novel takes place, Portia uses Calista's feelings to break her because of her desire to be loved by the Empress. Soon Calista loses her sanity because of Portia and commits crimes ordered by Portia herself for two years but in secret that is. That is when Portia orders Calista to eliminate Mizuki at the age of 17, her biological brother. Calista, with no feelings listens and gets caught in the act in which she then gets executed. Portia just acts like if she didn't know of anything. She then later becomes Empress and marries the Male Lead, Jastor Casllies and lives happily ever after."
Calista had finish speaking inside her thoughts about her knowledge of the novel she read. Suddenly her expression went from calm to fustrated.
"BULLCRAP! Calista gets manipulated!! Not only that but she died because of Portia!! The only people I have sympathy for is the Emperor, Mizuki, and Marie!! I do feel bad for them too.. Mizuki even if he dies by the hands of Calista, he dies with a sorrowful smile on his face. Marie dies the same way as Calista because of her loyalty towards her, she knew that Calista didn't do it just because she wanted to. The Emperor well, I don't know much but I just know that in the inside he deeply cared for his two children. Jeez just thinking about what'll happen is making me want to cry."
Calista then thinks to herself with a sadden expression on her face.
"Princess, it's time to feed you!"
Marie said with a bright smile on her face.
"Marie..I PROMISE TO SAVE YOU!! I won't let you die!!"
Calista then expresses a determined face while staring at Marie.
"All of your fates determine with my actions! I'll make sure the Emperor doesn't die and then runaway!!"
